Metallic Keycaps for Ornata?

  1. I recently bought a full set of razer Headset, mouse keyboard and firefly- and am very happy with it. But I was wondering wether the metallic keycaps set (the official razer one) would work with the Ornata mecha-membrane switches.

PS I read that the mecha-membrane switches have a rather short lifespan- is this true? And roughly how many keystrokes would that be?

    Please? anyone?

Those keycaps won't work with that keyboard. They only work with boards that have a cherry MX like stem.

It's true that membrane keyboards don't last as long as mechanical but it will still last for many years.
Membrane is about 5 million, Mechanical is about 50 million.

  4. Thanks. Would there be any metal keycaps with rgb pasthrough lettering that work with mecha-membrane?

I doubt it, at least not yet. The mecha-membrane is razer own proprietary key switches. They're the only ones who make them as far as I know and since they're relatively new I doubt anyone has had chance to make copies of them yet let alone make custom keycaps for them. About the best you can hope for is if razer releases their own custom keycaps for the Oranata keyboard.

  6. Well, it's unlikely, but I'll hope. Thanks!
