    Hi there!

I have some problem with MIC on my Razer Kraken USB headset. For some reason MIC does not pick up sound and my teammate doesn't hear me. I can say for sure that everything worked fine before. My MIC is recognized by Windows, it's not muted and it's the default audio device. Everythig looks fine exept that thing it doesn't work.

    I use Synapse 2.21 and Win10 (ver. 1803)

    Could anybody help me?

    Thanks.

You can try to connect headset to another pc to make sure it is not a hardwere issue.

Already done! MIC is ok. I reinstalled Synapse 2 and tried to use MIC without Synapse intalled... The result is headphones are working, MIC is not.

Cheack your mic windows volume is not at 0 and the sound capture device windows it pick up there any noise when the mic is set as on.

Mic Windows volume is not zero and corresponds with mic volume settings in Synapse. When I turn on setting "listen to this device" in Windows Audio settings mic is capturing all sounds and transmitting it to headphones. So I can hear my voice and all sounds around thus mic has no physical defects.

I assume other usb dont change here anything. You can try to reinstall audio driver becose from your post something is blocking mic also do you use any other audio softwere then windows like motherboard manufacture ?

Yes, I've already used several USB ports but there is nothing good. My motherboard uses Realtek HD Audio Driver so I updated it to the latest version but it didn't make me happy. I deleted all Realtek HD Audio drivers and Synapse and let Windows recognize my Kraken USB headset. Win correctly recognized my Kraken USB headset and I could hear audio in my headphones but I still didn't near my voice from MIC :slightly_sad: So I reinstalled Realtek HD Audio Drivers (latest version) and Synapse (ver. 2.21). Synapse also correctly recognazes my headset, Win corerctly recognazes MIC and headphones but there is no sound from MIC :slightly_sad:

You have addnitional softwere to audio for your sound card. You can cheack this to make sure there something dont block the micro. Some sort of softwere or driver clearly couse this issue.

I've already checked the audio software and found nothing. So I start to think that maybe problems are with Win10 (ver 1803)?

Can you restore windows from backup before the issue appear ? I think something settings change or file corrupted mayby it's a registry bad entry it's hard to say ;/

The only i can think in this point is try to reinstall windows this will remove all settings to default and tell you for sure where is the issue. It's not the best solution but i think the only one right now.
