Mouse Lifting

Don't know if this is the right area to post suggestions.
Bought a Trinity mouse specifically to use the 7-button wheel side plate, and I'm finding that there's not enough grip provided by the rubber to lift the mouse. I've actually had to glue tiny little plastic nubs onto each side so that I have enough grip to lift the mouse (which considering I play first-person shooters, it's a common need).
I'm sure part of my problem is that I suffer from arthritis and so can't grip things too hard. So if it's possible to add some concave areas that create lips on the sides of where fingers are, that would really help.
