My first RMA what to expect?

After many years and plenty of Razer products I’m just sent in my first RMA for my Blade 15 advance. I’ve got a battery swelling issue as well as a back light bleed on the screen.

Has anyone else had either issue on there blade 15? My is still under 1 year old. Just looking for some feedback and what to expect

Cheers

Chris

I know someone who had battery swelling on Blade 15 advanced, same batch with me early batch June or July, when did you get it? No on its 11 months mine is still fine no hardware issues. I use mostly when gaming with dgpu 1070maxq balanced mode for better temperature but on core 2080 setting it’s all Max OC gpu and cpu Max tdp gaming mode, gaming on dgpu average cpu temp mid 80 on egpu low 70. How was yours?
Hope all be great with your RMA, I had RMA experience with Blade 14 it was fast around a week thought it’ll be like 2 weeks maybe because we have repair center in Germany, result was also great and could sold it in mint condition.

Hey man, how are you? It’s the watercooled Razer Core X guy here!

Guessing batch before yours, around May time.

My understanding is the battery is hopefully an easy fix and swap battery pack. But I’m more interested in what caused the issue.

And not to sure how the back light bleed is fixed either.

Just interested so see if anyone else had the same issues at all and what was done.

Thanks fine, hope you too. I know your setting of course, I think the first i water cooling core x. BLB may be fixed by warming up the bezel/adhesive underneath where the backlight bleed is present and slightly lifted the bezel on that spot and carefully pressed it back in place... apparently. Yes battery bulging fixed by swapping it with some hope that it was not too big that might damage other parts inside. Just my curiosity, you should have decent low temperature with water cooling core x setting, where was the heat coming...battery bulging may be caused by heat. Did you use it often on battery btw?

I don’t know. I tend to only play on the charger. I’d say 80% of my use is with it plugged in and then again for that same time with the Core X running. So not sure about the heat, the main reason I got the core x was to reduce the heat in the laptop.

So I’m guessing some type of overcharging or bad battery batch, but your guess was is as good as mine.
