My headset isn't working after the last Synapse 3 update


Hello there,

yesterday (01/10/19) I updated Synapse 3. After that my headset Razer Kraken Tournament Edition stopped working. More accurately, when I want to listen to something, I can hear only popping. When I uninstalled Synapse 3, headset worked, but when I installed Synapse 3 again, it started to give off the same popping. I think, there is no issue with the headset, 'cause I tried to connect it to my phone and it was normal. Is possible, there is a problem with the USB dongle? Please help me.

Hi! I have EXACTLY the same problem... I did everything! Nothing happened... Yesterday everything was fine, today I turned my PC on, and I have this problem. Out of nowhere. I can't think of anything... But this crackling popping noise is annoying... But the weirdest thing is that when I adjust the volume in Windows sometimes is clear for a sec and then starts the noise. Yeah I can switch to CHAT channel but thats not the same... I really really hope there will be an update soon that will take care of this problem.

Thank you very much for your reply. Now I know, that the issue is definetly caused by software. I connected temporarily headset to PC by jack 3,5 mm, but as you said, that's not the same.

Okay now we all know that’s definitely not a hardware issue. Let’s hope a Synapse patch is on the way!
Hi guys,

I have randomly just started having a problem with my headset since the last synapse update. but my problem is with the Nari ultimate. haptic feedback wont work and neither will adjusting the mic sensitivity. looks like they have messed up bad with audio on this update....Im hoping its the update that has caused this problem, so I dont have to go through Razer's awkward customer support to send it back

I have just sorted it now mate...so far so everything is looking good. synapse was freezing my PC, so uninstalled it and upon reinstalling it it froze again. I tried whipping everything to do with synapse off my computer with a program called Revo. then installing again after that it froze while syncing data from the cloud, then after I rebooted my headset worked, but my Mamba firefly hyperflux did not. so after another time of uninstalling and reinstalling again, everything seems to be ok now. It seems like its something to do with some sort of corruption in the cloud save data.

I will definitely keep you updated, I really hope you can get this to work...or even better, hopefully there will be an update before you get back home that fixes it for you

Hi, mine has still been working since I last posted on this thread. also there is a new synapse update that I have just downloaded 5 minutes ago. try updating your synapse now, hopefully this will be the answer to your problems

Hola, el mío ha estado trabajando desde la última vez que publiqué en este hilo. También hay una nueva actualización de sinapsis que acabo de descargar hace 5 minutos. intente actualizar su sinapsis ahora, espero que esta sea la respuesta a sus problemas

Hice lo que nuestro amigo uso, ese programa Revo Pro. Eliminé todo rastro del Synapse y ahí recién volvió a funcionar los auriculares, sin ese pitido feo que tenia!! Lo que no hice fue instalar el synapse para ver si se arreglaba como a el!! Por ahora sin Synapse funciona!!

El problema es la Synapsis, lamentablemente hay que eliminarlo para que se pueda usar los auriculares, pero el tema es que no se puede disfrutar como corresponde a eliminar el Synapsis. ¡Hay que esperar o que alguien de la cara para resolver este problema! Porque a muchos les esta pasando esto !!

Hi guys! Try to do a clean installation of Synapse and see if it fixes the issue. If not, please PM me the current build number of your Synapse.
Hello, I just recently started having this problem as well. I tried uninstalling Synapse and reinstalling and the same issue persists.
I fixed this issue by running all audio through the "Kraken TE - Game" and disabling the "Kraken TE - Chat" audio output all together in windows.

I don't know how you, but today everything FINALLY started to work. I just completely removed Synapse using this tutorial: https://www.askvg.com/how-to-completely-uninstall-remove-a-software-program-in-windows-without-using-3rd-party-software/, and it started to work. Guys, when you are in REGEDIT, don't remember to delete this register "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\THX". Don't forget to write to me, if it will help.
