Naga Trinity device descriptor error

I've only had my Naga Trinity for a few months, and not long ago it started to turn itself off occasionally, but would usually turn back on if I unplugged it and plugged it back in again.

Now it's not working at all.
In Windows device manager it appears in the group "Universal Serial Bus controllers" as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"
If I open that item the property page has the text:
"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

A request for the USB device descriptor failed."

I've tried it on all the USB ports on my computer. My motherboard is the Asume Prime B350M-A, and I've tried both types of USB port. When I plug it into the USB 3.1 port then the erroneus device doesn't appear in Windows device manager.

I've tried repairing the Razer system software, and I've tried holding down the left, right, and wheel buttons for ten seconds to try and reset the mouse.

I've also tried it on another computer, which runs Linux, and it still doesn't work.
Here's the output of "dmesg" when I plug it into that:

usb 1-1: new full-speed USB device number 12 using xhci_hcd
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71

usb 1-1: Device not responding to setup address.
usb 1-1: device not accepting address 15, error -71
usb usb1-port1: unable to enumerate USB device

I've also tried it with each of the three side plates attached.
I've tried everything, but it still doesn't work. How can I proceed?
