Nari Essential wireless sounds terrible

My Logitech G930s finally bit the dust so I picked up a set of the Nari Essential headphones.
I have got to say that I am EXTREMELY disappointed
I've spent a couple of hours adjusting the EQ settings in Synapse and no matter what I do they sound like crap. My 8 year old 930s sounded 100 times better. The Nari's are very muffled and way too bass heavy.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to improve the sound quality of this headset?
I've tried various eq settings from Reddit and Youtube, and have gotten them slightly better than when they were right out of the box, but these are just no good.
I mostly play Warzone and Battlefield 4 these days.

You might have tried this already but try turning off THX in Synapse and make sure it's using your headset for audio (not the THX)
