Nari ultimate not connecting to pc at all

had my nari ultimates for maybe half a year now? I've used them quite infrequently and didn't have any issues at the start.
lately they've been having connection issues, having to swap the dongle from usb port to usb port to get my pc to recognize it.. but today, my headset just flat out refuses to even show up. it showed up on my pc once and just gave me this: https://prnt.sc/v1cqzj

at other times in the past it's shown up as something completely different (and not worked) but now it's stuck being used with the 3,5mm jack.. so they're a pair of wired headphones with no added functionality basically..

I've googled around and seen no helpful hints as to how to get the issue fixed, so what should I do?
