Nari Ultimate Xbox and App

Hi

Just got my Nari and connected it with no issue to Xbox series X but can’t seem to get the Razer app to detect it. App keeps telling me to pair the headset but it’s already paired and working. Does app work and let you configure / update headset etc or is it unnecessary if I am paired direct to console ?

thanks in advance

Are you having any issues with the headset causing your controller to lose its connection? I have the Thresher and it is causing connection issues.
I am also having the same problem with the app not detecting that the headset is connected. I am suspecting that the older headsets are not compatible with the app.
Yes the headset repeatedly makes the Xbox Series X freeze and require a full power down, it locks out the controller which still shows as connected (light solid) but is totally unresponsive, and it doesn't show up in the Raze Xbox app, synapse on my Mac, synapse on my laptop or basically perform properly in any way.

The support site is of no help and just talks about firmware and synapse despite this not really being relevant for the model I have.

Exasperated by it and I think it will definitely be my last Razer product.
This is not good news to hear. Razer are in the process of sending me a Nari headset to replace my Thresher headset for the Xbox, because they told me it will work with my Series X. I am wishing I had just stuck to my guns and pushed for the Kiara Pro instead.
Same here. Intermittent connection loss, app doesn't work, controller bugs out. This is not how a 200+ euro headset is supposed to behave. Also, the mic is intermittent when in party or gamechat. Tried everything, but as I've found out, you can't unpair a device on XBOX once it's paired.... so trying to decide if i'm going to ask my money back and go for another option (Astro A50 maybe).

I sent mine back and got a set of A40 wired with Mix Amp Pro TR, the quality of product and experience is night and day. Thankfully Amazon took them back no quibble, my Razer days are over I think!
I think it's not totally Razer's fault. My Thresher headset worked perfectly with my Xbox one. It wasn't until I used it on the series X that I started having issues. I think Microsoft is mostly to blame. But unfortunately they don't seem to be in a rush to resolve the issue.
Agree to disagree, if it isn't compatible or there are issues they shouldn't be advertising on their shop its fully compatible with new gen consoles. Also they should immediately state this in support and not pretend there are no issues. They have replaced peoples hardware as if it's a fault rather than just say it doesn't work. Badly handled for me.
I don't disagree with you. I actually have it in writing from Razer that the Thresher Xbox wasn't even tested with the series X. Only the Thresher Ultimate was tested. So they shouldn't be selling it as compatible.

Good tip, thank you! I'll look in to the A40. As a backup plan, as far as plans go, this is not a bad one :-)

Meanwhile I've logged a support issue with Razer. Same can be said with a host of different products, when the driver fails... well I call it a driver, don't really know if that's how it works on an XBOX, but still.

And totally agree that if you market a product as Series X compatible, it should work. The fact stated that the Thresher wasn't even tested but still marketed as compatible doesn't bode well....
Its a shame as I really like some of the Razer products, I moved to the Thresher Xbox headset because the audio jack on my gen 1 Blackshark headset was damaged, they amazing headphones. The thrashers were slightly disappointing, but only because I felt the clamping force on my head was not enough, but the audio quality was great. Hopefully, Razer will help me get this sorted as the headset is still under warranty, but the returns window on Amazon has expired.
As I said before, I don't the blames is 100% Razers as MS stated that all Xbox One accessories would be compatible with the Series X|S consoles, and clearly, that is not the case as there are TurtleBeach and SteelSeries users that are experiencing the same issues, only difference is they have had an update for their headsets that have partially resolved the issue. Apparently, the Xbox line of headsets from Razer can not be updated, which is ridiculous.

Sheesh, that is ridiculous to say the least... and of course in these kinds of problems both parties have an equal responsibility.

Sad to say that the Razer helpdesk just asked some inane questions about 'if I experienced this recently' and 'did it work before'. Got no further, so I have returned the product. Hunting for a new one, maybe A50 (because it just uses optical connection and handles wireless via the separate thingamabob) or A40 which has been suggested.

Thanks and good luck to all of you having problems with these headsets, hope it will be resolved soon!
I also thought about that, but there is no optical output on the Series X, so left with a standard wired or wireless option. If the Nari ends up not working I could be saying goodbye to Razer, unless they can offer me something guaranteed to work with the Series X
Έχω χάσει ή καταστρέψει τον ασύρματο πομποδέκτη USB ή το dongle για το ακουστικό Razer Nari . Μπορώ να αγοράσω ένα νέο;
As a partial workaround for wireless headsets breaking the controller connection on Series X | S, try to disable "instant on" from the console setting or shutting down the console completely after using the headset. On reboot, the controller should work.

I agree however this is really disappointing, at least: Razer explicitly listed (at least here in Italy) the products that would be working with series X | S (here is just an example, but you can find the same press release in various sites) and the thresher is still stated as compatible "with the new xbox" on the official italian site).

So, probably Microsoft broke something in the xbox wireless protocol, but at least Razer should openly recognize the issue.
Yesterday I installed March fw update for Series X. My Nari Ultimate for Xbox headset do not longer breakes the controller connection after headset is turned off. Try a go guys with new update.
I can confirm a tangible improvement with my Thresher too. If I shutdown the console without turning off the headset, sometimes the console still turns back on after shutdown, however it doesn't break the connection with the controller.

However, if I turn off the headset before shutting down the console, I have no issues (knock on wood!).

yeah these headphones are a big piece of shit... the synapse 3 download doesn't do shit can't connect to the xbox app to configure the headset and the mic is the worst fucking mic of any headset I have ever owned. no one can hear me on this crap
