Need Advice / Help - Razer 15 2019 Adv - cables / dock

Hi all,
Am hoping for some help here, as i couldnt find much info searching normal means.

Just got the Razer 15 2019 Advanced, and wanted to know what was best for an external monitor?
I find 4K 60hz cables miniDP to DP, and TB3 to DP ... will i be able to get 120+ hz on my gaming monitor? I have a 144hz Azuz ROG "29... and would want to game on that, instead of on the laptop screen...

Also, anyone use a dock at all? Maybe one you can recommend that will work with my shiny new laptop?

I am looking to get rid of my desktop PC, and dont want to make the full jump if i will be sacrificing quality / perfomance!

Appreciate any help, and questions!

Cheers
Lew

Mini DP to DP can output 144Hz 2K, can confirm that since I use that with my Blade 15 2018, not quite sure about TB3 to DP, probably until 120Hz and not g sync compatible like Blade hdmi port.
I use dock before had Core v2, but hdmi and DP crashing each other when trying dual external monitor, only could use one of them. I heard Lenovo thinkpad TB3 works on Blade 15 and 14 as well from other user, but can’t guarantee it.

Thanks Joikansai!
That does make sense... docks are good for normal tasks, but not gaming! 😛
I did try the USB-C dock i have with my work Lenovo X-1 Carbon, and that worked perfectly... for multi monitor etc... appreciate the info, will get myself another USB-C Lenovo dock. It worked pretty easily!
Cheers! 🙂

Yup. Im the user using the lenovo thunderbolt 3 dock and can confirm it works on 144hz.

Currently using alienware AW3418DW 3440x1440 ultrawide 34” at 120hz

Have used multiple 27-32” monitors at 1080p and 1440p at 144hz with the dock as well and all working as normal.

I was like you and transitioned from a desktop setup to razer blade + dock setup so that I could bring my blade along when I travel and have the full setup at home with just 2 cables (power and tb3)
Awesome, so i got the Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 with graphics (GTX1050) dock, and works a charm!!!

I have a pair of ROG-SWIFT-PG279Q screens, and this dock runs them very well!
