    Hey guys,

First post, new to Razor products.

So pumped to get the 15. Got the 1070 with a 256, run an external...plan on swapping on a larger SSD and another stack of ram but wondering, since I first plugged this thing in the fans have not stopped running. I'd expect it when I'm working it but even just browsing the web, to just having it sit idle - it literally runs no stop. Reminds me a 2013 MacBook Pro I used to have.

Any one else experiencing the same? Any advice on solutions?

Sorry if this has been asked before!

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Connecting on external monitor made the dGPU (1070) works and it seems optimus doesn’t work, check it from right click on screen on external monitor, it won’t show the intel graphics option only Nvidia Control Panel. Try use internal Blade screen and see if the fans still behaving same. Mine is also louder than not using external screen but it’s not disturbing loud, only noticeable, idle is quite. I think the Fans are always running even on idle but on very low rpm, can’t check it since I’m not at home though.

    Thanks for the info!

I should have included, that even without any externals connected it still runs like a horse. It's louder than I like that's forsure and the battery get's super hot too.

Side by side with my Dell I got from work, it's like a Tesla next to a jet lol and also my new work provided MacBook (which I don't run nearly as hard) is whisper silent no matter what the task (something I got used to real fast given I spend most my time on it for work).

I read somewhere tonight they were working on an update to quiet them down but not sure how that is even possible unless they want em burning down. It'd be nice if there was a swappable fan set up that moved as much air but without the dbs. However, that is beyond my knowledge base of hardware capability - but certainly something I'd drop the coin on if it were possible.

Is it on Balanced mode, still loud on it? Hmm, maybe I just get used to a jet machine;) I’ll measure again my idle loudness, I think it was 30dB or a bit more when I measured it, at full load it can break 50ish though.

Yea it is....and haha right, I just can't get over how loud and hot it gets....still an awesome machine, but deff a disappointment on this plus I've been getting the "blue screen of death" (that's what my son calls it) anytime I shut it down or say the battery dies, I have to completely restore the entire computer. Just past the return period but thinking I might be listing this guy on the ebay lol.

BSOD shouldn’t happening in good device unless you tweaking it like too low undervolting value, outside that it’s manufacturer failure, you should send it back and let them fix that, selling it only pass issue to the unlucky buyer. I had BSOD but It was on overclocking mode with a massive undervolting value. But on default gaming mode it shouldn’t happen.

I had 2 Blade 15. The first one ran smoothly for about 6 weeks and started to create several BSOD after that. Even after factory resetting it. Its getting RMA'd now. The second one had OSOD & BSOD right after the first boot so I sent it back immediately. Seems to happen more often than it should.

Wow that’s suck. The only thing that keep in my mind is minimum backlight bleed compared to my old Blade 14 which was 0, it’s hard to notice in usage though unless I put attention all the time on bottom area, but you know poeple always want perfect machine;). My temperature was also a bit high reaching 95 on last couple weeks when outside temperature was 37 Celsius here, firestrike was even reaching also that areas but now with around 24 it’s fine again, firestrike max cpu 81, and gaming demanding titles is 91. I’ll apply some thermal pad to ssd maybe it could lower overall temperature, since my ssd seems high on 75.
