New blade stealth shipment

    Hi guys,
    I bought the new blade stealth and razer core and lots of accessories few days ago.
    It said new blade stealth will ship on 14th Sept
    and razer core will ship on 16th Sept
    and the email told me I will get notifications when my orders ship.
    But now it already 17th, I still got none notification
    Is anyone bought new blade or core has same problem? And how long you guys wait for?

    Hey there and welcome to Insider,
    Razer shipment notifications are most of the times delayed. So maybe the Blade is already on it's way ;)
    You may wanna contact the Razer Support. They will be able to tell you the exact status of your shipment :)

    When it arrives, I'd like to offer to take it for a test run first in case it blows up.

    Also remember that it's the weekend and it probably won't ship till Monday. You should have it before the end of the week though :)
  6. Ordered my New Blade Stealth QHD-512 GB on 9/13. Have been trying for days to get a simple shipping ETA from support and the Twitter team. They just keep sending me canned apologies in reply and use words like "soon" instead of a date. They would not even confirm that the units are in stock and available to ship. Also been waiting over a month for the Core to ship for my sons last gen Stealth. Supposed to ship on Friday but no notice or updates. Very frustrating lack of communication from Razer.

    Glad I'm not the only ones left in the dark. I was so excited for the 16th, but now I'm stuck between hoping it shipped without an updated orders date... or waiting to see if they come through on the 23rd. I'm so close to cancelling and moving on (Core ordered on 8/8, but I'm sure others have waited longer). Calling support is a horrifying experience as well. After spending over 2k on my 512 blade '16, I get worried that I can't even contact a representative outside of technical support over the phone.

    I'm just glad I bought my blade from the Microsoft store, and purchased a warranty. I dread ever having to RMA with them.
  8. I just received shipment notification for my new RBS although FedEx Delivery Manager said it shipped on Saturday. Also got fedex email yesterday for Core but no shipment notification from razer.

    Also, I contacted order support and it took them about 1 day to reply. They replied AFTER the fedex email and said it hasn't shipped with no ETA. Pretty funny.

    yea my order doesn't show "back ordered" anymore... hope this means it will ship soon got the 256gb soon to be replaced by 950 pro 512

    I was a bit worried about the date being pushed back even further, but I received my Core last night. It was the most frustrating thing in the world to get it running at first. In fact, I got it running pretty quickly with absolutely terrible performance from my 1070. Then it completely stopped working after I restarted.

    After about 2 hours of constant blue screens and driver reinstalls... the system just clicked and everything started working. The whole system feels clunky at times with drivers having seemingly violent exchanges with the hardware in the background. However when it works, it's a marvel to play on my blade 16 without a cooling pad anymore and no complaints from my wife about the fan noise.

    Bravo Razer, and good luck to everyone else on getting their products. So far, it's been worth the wait.

    You're willing to spend that much on a set up why not just get the stealth and use the rest of the money for a real desktop lol

    I have a real desktop :). I use an ultra wide monitor with an i7/1080 rig in our office/den. The biggest change has been that my wife just had twins, and she's also a gamer. So the office has become kids playland with my wife using her Mommy free time during the day to watch YouTube and play Guild Wars 2 during nap time. I hook up my Razer set up on the living room desk built in, and enjoy some peace and quiet. It's also mobile, so it doesn't look like a battle station all day.

    I know that I could've purchased a small PC set up for half the price of the blade/core set up as well, but apart of me admires the technology. Also, I use my blade with the logo covered by a dbrand skin during my business week, so I do everything on my blade with a cloud back up.

    Sorry for the long explanation, but I think Razer had me in mine with the Blade and Core :).

    Edit: btw, Razer should make a blade with a smaller corner logo like the chrome books usually have. I would like to display my Razer logo to support brand awareness, but sitting my laptop down in a clients office doesn't instill professionalism with the huge logo (again dbrand skin covers it). Even if it was an options at check out. Just a suggestion!

    I would like to buy a desktop too but I am learning photography everywhere and maybe I will move to another city next season. So I think Core is more convenience? Anyway it is quite a lot of money for Core+1080

    I honestly don't think it's worth the trouble. You're already risking when you buy a razer laptop. Their quality control is horrendous and customer service isn't very up to par. If you're travelling and REALLY want to game you should try looking at an actual gaming laptop like an asus ROG or something of that sort with adequate cooling etc, yea the size might be a lil more bulky but the quality control is prob much better along with the customer support. Also bringing along a big razer core might defeat the purpose of an "on the go" type thing as I think... it was design to sit at home and plug in when you're at home.

    Someone who wants to 'game on the go' (ie trains, airplanes, commutes, hotel rooms, libraries, cafes etc.) should get a gaming laptop with dedicated graphics like the Razer Blade 14.

    Someone who wants to game at home and have one machine for everything (to replace their laptop + desktop) should get the Blade Stealth + Core.

    Someone who wants both should get the Blade 14 + Core.

    I have to agree that the core is no way intended to be a travel companion. When I took it out of the box, I was shocked at the weight. It's a good weight that makes you feel like your money went somewhere, but I can't even see myself taking it across town to a friends how for a gaming session.

    You're also very right about the QC at Razer. Man... it's crazy how I see videos on YouTube about how cool their marketing teams are, but when you call the customer service line... It'll make your stomach turn at the experience (in my opinion). I can't tell you how many times I had to hot glue my Razer Naga right click button notch under the surface.

    Last, just buy it at the Microsoft store. If you're committed enough to pay the price, just buy a warranty with it from them. You have an issue? Just go get it fixed or replaced. Hopefully they carry the new sku soon. If your international, I'm sure there are options.
