On second thought, I may save for a monitor, just wait a while for the one I want, It's hard though.

Well, Razer's number 1 peripheral request was a monitor, maybe I could wait for that :D

If I may ask, what exactly is wrong with the monitor you currently have? Correct me if I'm wrong, but, as you've suggested, it has a 1,440x900 resolution - if I'm not mistaken, it can go up to a 720p quality, and even a little higher, no? The monitor is good for playing games in windows (e.g. similar to RuneScape's downloadable client), but not so good for playing full-screen games (e.g. similar to DotA II, I'm guessing), correct? If the above is true, and there's no other issues, I'd recommend upgrading your monitor at a later time, and going for the headset first. However, if there are some serious issues, such as your screen flickering occasionally, randomly turning on and off, or glitching up in general, then upgrading your monitor would probably be the best option.

Hopefully this post proves helpful to you!

I'd go for the headphones first, I've been playing on my 1600x900 17" for about 6 years now. Really want a new one, but I'm about to order my Mamba TE, meaning I have to wait for my monitor ;)

I'd say monitor as a good monitor can be a serious compliment to your gaming. However if your current headphones are really bad, then yes the headphones as long as you can deal with your current monitor.

Oh right. Forgot to update this. I have both now. In the end, I got the krakens first, but I think I should have waited for a monitor after all! My new monitor is a hundred times better than the old one! Thanks for your help everyone!

EDIT: Yeah, this thread is dead. pls no more replies :c
