I was wondering what the community and the Razer staff (@Min-Liang Tan would be an honour) think about this: a simple led strip that is modular (so anyone could cut it as long as they want) that is controlled by a Razer-made Croma-enabled USB controller.
For example, the costumer could stick the led strip along their desk and connect the Razer controller to their PC so that the lighting of the desk is synchronized with all their Razer (Chroma) pheripherals.
This means the costumer could achieve the typical light effects (pulse, wave, spectrum cycling and so on) of Chroma lighting. This would spread the use of Chroma lighting to almost anything the costumer wants, also giving an advantage to the Chroma ecosystem in respect to the competition.

I think that's a very solid idea! I would definitely be interested in something like that. I'm chroma crazy and would like products that can be controlled by one program from one company rather then multiple programs from different companies. I actually want to see a razer sound bar with chroma lights, just like the sound blaster X. The only reason I haven't purchased the sound blaster X is because I'm waiting to see if razer releases a leviathan 2 with chroma lighting.

Thanks! I have the Blade, Firefly, Deathadder and the Mug, and controlling through chroma even my room lighting would be super neat!

If the led strips are also magnetic they'll be perfect, I'm a pc modder, and it's quite hard to find magnetic led strips to put in pc cases

That's a good idea, there could be 2 versions: one magnetic (for metallic surfaces) and one with adhesive (for all surfaces)

If they included one with NZXT S340 Razer edition. That would be perfect.

Yes this would be awesome.. So I can stick it under a regular mug.. because.. because.. I couldn't get the Razer Chroma Mug Holder.....:frown_:

On a serious note.. It would be so awesome and the community driven adaptations would be endless!! It needs to be fine enough and versatile enough though. The ones on the HDK look kinda large. Does the controller need to be that big? If the controllers are smaller and attached to an individual strip, I think there would be more freedom and application.

Now we just need longer LED strips, like 3-5 meters!
