Can you post all the settings you have? In the nvidia control panel. I was getting low scores but my highest was 13636.

Hey sorry replied to wrong thread. Okay so you are trying to update to the latest Geforce drivers. This is the link to the drivers you want:
    GeForce Game Ready Driver
    Version 375.95 - WHQL
Release Date Fri Nov 18, 2016
    Operating System Windows 10 64-bit
    Language English (US)
    File Size 373.62 MB

Make sure you do clean install when going through it. If that does not work I would recommend using the application DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and removing all old display drivers.

ok, looks likei figured it out, i have to download drivers through razer support website. directly through nvidia doesnt work

That must mean Nvidia hasn't whitelisted Razer yet for the latest drivers. There was an issue like this when the new Alienware 15/17s dropped. Looking at the Razer support site the latest they have up is 375.74, while Nvidia has 375.95. The way to do that would be wait for Nvidia to get Razer on the whitelist for driver updates, or turn off driver signature validation and installed the latest driver. I would just wait it out and not mess with disabling signature validation.

Yeah I did the autoscan and it said I had to download directly from manufacture site. Razer support looks like they updated driver yesterday so I went ahead and installed it seeing as I was using 369.something.

so ...i updated to the new driver the razersupport had an it giving me problems, my gpu is only going to like 40% load....

update: i was able to roll back the driver to the factory version. my gpu is working correctly again. razer you guys need to allow us to download old versions of drivers as well, the nov 18 2016 geforce update on razersupport.com is NOT working as intended.

hmm so ok so far, rbp has 18~19k of graphics score, and total score of 13~14k firestrike total score. Um... hopefully once i get mine in next few weeks I can join owners to improve performance but so far it seems somewhat unreasonable considering Alienware 6700hq + 1070 performs at similar level.

Shoutoutjt, did u try on device manager to update ur intel hd graphics, and all sorts of drivers?

You can call me jt for short hahah. But nope, display adapters only show GTX 1080.

This Aorus x7 dt users benchmark, hopefully we can get -5% to that... :'( anyway I love the design so I cant cancel my order and go for these ugly gaming laptops lol

I know :slightly_sad: it might be the cpu that's bottlenecking or something idk. Hopefully when more people get it we can get close to what everyone expected. Or razer will release something. But still , even though it's underperforming it's still an azmzing laptop

Alienware with similar score uses 6700hq and 1070, cpu cant be the case. Yeap I dont mind its underperformance (even tho i expect it to be somewhat improved over time considering the price) but I do wish some official statements. If they had to sacrifice performance for form factor etc, they gotta say so, its almost to the point they false advertised it.

Hmm I I guess I haven't been using g sync correctly..yesterday gaming 4K ultra on games such as rainbow six siege and h1z1 I was getting 40-55 fps..today with gsync set correctly it was consistent buttery smooth 60fps. was amazing . GPU max temp was 82 but usually hovering between 70-74 100% load. Cpu max temp 85 (rarely saw it get there)hovering between 70-74 as well. Laptop palm rest area was warm after ive been playing from 12AM-6am. Keyboard warm but not noticble. Only hot area was the left top side between screen and keyboard and I could still rest my hand on there without burning myself. Rest of the laptop was either cool or warm.

Only concern is that u didnt really play any power demanding games yet, I will accept the fact that it wont perform like AW 17 1080 laptops happily, but 20% under performance is just too much and wish to know what the hek is going on. (Im talkin bout games like witcher 3, dishonored2 etc). I have razer core and titan xp, but heard there is no core support so for now, no chance for me to use egpu. I got one mine coming in next a week or so but Razer really needs to advertise and show what their product really is, no more of these exaggerations. I know ill love the laptop, but cmon, in my case, I am paying 4.5k

Realistically did you expect it to perform any different. I mean 1 look at the form factor and you can tell it's either thermal throttled or power throttled. It's physically impossible to cool a 1080 in that form. Same thing with the 1060 in the Razer Blade.

Cause Alienware's are cooled properly (cept for some cases in the AW15 R3 where the 3 screw heatsink design results in uneven pressure and high core temp differential). If you take a look at the Aorus X7v6 non DT and DT version heatsinks, they are the same. That makes 0 sense. So the Aorus is also throttled.

Not as bad as RBP, so RBP can definitely perform at Aorus level or at least close to at around -5%
