Hi there i'm not certain if i'm aloud to talk about this or not but when razer showed off their "Hyperflux" Line they showed off a new keyboard which I do not know when it will be coming out nor do I know what it is. this looks like it will be a new blackwidow with brighter under-glow-lighting This is the stuff we want! When will this be coming out? I'd like to know. t01c812126fb037723e.jpg t01d3f2d062cb25c620.jpg

There was a discussion about it here but I couldn't find it. Some predict it would have the new Razer Purple switches (optical) and would be Razer Blackwidow X V2. One thing's for sure - I'd definitely get my hands on one as soon as it becomes available.

TL;DR The switches are Razer purples- which are optical switches designed by Razer
    Full uh— thing? Below

The Switches it has are the Razer Purple, which are the new optical switch they are working on. The Aorus k9 uses an optical switch, and I think (one of) the first ones were from wooting. Apparently the optical switch allows for faster response times since its analog. Also allows for interchangeable switches(may explain the open keyboard design). The chroma look pretty sick on this one as well :)

    Now for some IDEAS:

The “dials”/knobs MAY be able to change the height/actuation point of the keyswitches, WHICH WOULD BE AWESOME, since it uses optical laser technology(could adjust mirror). I see the wrist rest also has a connecter- could disable some Chroma to reduce power usage? Or maybe detects it, and a preset can change the position of the actuation point, preferable to your taste when a wrist rest is in or not.

It's a pretty weird keyboard, i don't see any Razer mark on it tho the wrist rest has it along with a plug in input. And that lightning doesn't appear to be the chroma effect, it's kinda limited and not fully color alive. Also the switches looks more like MX Cherry switches rather than a new type of switches. So i wouldn't be too sure of it for now, since there's someone in the picture who obviously own it, and there's no mention of it in any Razer shops, post etc.

Maybe it's just a prototype and there's a lot of time left until it's released

    It would be awesome but...
    1. It will be expensive
    2. You'll need some additional mechanism that will change height LED/laser beam
    3. Every additional mechanism = additional point of failure

I did make a post about this and will this be finale design? No, obviously its a concept and they can add more to it, as for Razer branding on it and chroma lighting, The lights look like that cause of synapse 3.0 and it doesn't really need razer branding to know its razer cause you'll know its razer if you see the underglow @BboySurf

If you also wanted to see it in action, HardwareCanucks put out a video on the things Razer had at CES 2018 in the hotel room thing (Don't know if there was a couple videos or just the one). He had it in the open where you could see the lighting, but a couple days later he reuploaded it with it blurred, you may be able to find the old one.

Its very possible that its just an unannounced product. I found the man of wars headset for sale at a bestbuy several days before they were announced.

Thank's everyone for posting here! Regardless of what Mr tan says I know that Razer is just plastering their logo on things.right now I mean come on nobody asked for the razer phone! Nobody asked for razer speakers or at least nobody reasonable I mean sure you could say they haven't made RAM mother-boards or fans yet which they will because Asus did that. I've gotten alot of Razer stuff in the past year. With me getting a razer basilisk off of the Zvalut (Yes I did abuse the crap out of the paid-to-play-program to have enough to get it which is the only way you can get anything from it) If they released that keyboard soon i'd be done buying razer products for good aside buying the jugan if they released it in the states. Razer has the market share to innovate but they have a bunch of people that will buy what ever they put out. Regardless of what they see I bet a large or at the very-least-hugely significant chuck of razers income comes form people that buy their products blindly. Like the quartz line I bet you the only people that bought that weren't female just people buying things for their "Daughters" Those kind of people Now I think that they could Improve I mean they sign seoul-dysnasty so they might be able to make a good amount of changes with that. Will they? I don't know. At this point i'll go with who-ever-will be able to fore-fill my needs.

They are not really just putting there logos on things, some people did want the Razer Phone or some kind of media device like that from Razer, and many people wanted another pair of Razer speakers after the leviathans came out, and the ones that came out before that.

Don't know why you would stop buying Razer products if that keyboard came out but it is all your choice and I am not here to stop you from doing it, if people want to buy their products when they come out they can go right ahead. I never looked at the quartz lineup either, but many people do use those products along with the other mercury and gunmetal products. This keyboard is kind of a new product for Razer too since it seems to come with the new optical switches that they are developing at the moment.

I see your point, but a keyboard with a custom switch seems perfectly aligned with Razer's core brand - it's not like they're coming out with a Razer-branded, Chroma-enabled pressure cooker here. Of all the things to hold up and say, "this is the straw that broke the camel's back," is this really the right thing? A peripheral, aimed at gamers, from a company that specializes in gaming peripherals? It's really not that unreasonable to think they may do such a thing...I mean, it's not like they're promising improved quality-control here or anything!

Old old photos from CES. I believe it was a prototype they were showing off, I would guess 2019 full release.

    1. You'll need someadditional mechanism that will change height LED/laser beam
    2. Every additional mechanism = additional point of failur What I was saying was that some of what razer brings out is pointless like the line of products where the point of it was that "they're pink this time" This new keyboard is a great step in the right direction! Someday we'll have a death adder with side-lighting-and jugan-underglow
[/ If you're need 120hz on your phone then just use your pc at that point.

No one really needs it, the Razer Phone was made to be used as a mobile gaming phone so they just added that as a feature. Many people like that it has that feature since it is a gaming phone.
