The Kraken 7.1 is a great headset, I'm not particullary impressed by the audio quality of the Kraken Mobile's , however my Kraken forged edti. sounds amazing.

Yup, Man O'War also is virtual surround because it only has one driver.

no problem :) i think it is also a virtual 7.1. what they consider as the "true" 7.1 is the Tiamat headset(and others). it has a total of 5.1 drivers which can mimic the 7.1 without the help of a software

All of Razer's surround enabled headsets are virtual surround except for one:
The analog Tiamat 7.1. One easy way to tell if a headset is true 7.1 Surround Sound or not is to see if it has system requirements for 7.1 sound card support. The Tiamat 7.1 requires your sound card to support 7.1 Surround Sound, so that's how you know it's the real deal. It's supposedly the world's first true 7.1 gaming headset. My baby right here:

thanks for the pics @Raijin but virtually 7.1 or true 7.1? it doesnt matter! i love kraken pro headset :) this will not bother you unless you are an audiophille who is very particular with the kinds of headset (nothing is wrong with it thats what they want) or you want an amp(FiiO instead of smartphones) i haven't exp tiamat yet. what i know it also has a control right? you should post here as well for them to be familiar :)

Yeah I was just trying to clear things up because it seems like there was some confusion going on. Just trying to help out by stating the facts.
    No problem. Will do:

that is a pretty good look headset,
one of my friend she said gaming headset is not music headset..... they have very difference. I brought hammerhead before..but it is too bad to listen music. next time, if razer do 50% off again ,I will try to buy a tiamat 7.1 ~ thank you ~

so far the most comfortable one for me is the Adaro series, but kraken mobiles are a very close second!

The bass of gaming headset is much more heavier than audio. For listen audio may not require so much bass thats why sometimes gaming headset is not suitable for music.

I have a Kraken and Hammerhead Pro. Good audio on both combined with the Surround Sound Pro

When talking about headsets, all my attention is going to the new ManO'War right now :)

I find the blackshark design is beautiful, but it is too heavy! The side metals also makes clinking noise when you turn or shake your head, which may annoy the ears. Hope they can improve on this design though.

Still using my kraken 7.1. Surround sound is great for games and movies. Though its tempting to go for the man'owar with the wireless feature.
