Hi there! Thanks for posting your inquiry here. I find this post interesting. By the way, creating Razer Synapse macros consists of mouse gestures like clicks and even keyboard inputs. However, in order to save this macro/profile, you need to install Razer Synapse so you can synchronize it to your Razer peripherals. Also, if you are working inside a corporate network that implements NDA policy, the USB ports are secured/firewalled that third-party software such as Razer Synapse will not work and the mouse/keyboard will operate as normal peripherals. Please coordinate with your company's IT and confirm if they will allow you to use a mouse with on-board memory.
Thanks for the response. I have contacted my superior and he allowed me to use the particular device since it is not seen as USB drive by the system. USB firewall did not trigger any alarm which is nice 🙂

what if you sync the profile at home then take the keyboard with you to another computer, will the keyboard work without the software once it has been setup?

Thanks for asking! If your Razer keyboard has on-board memory, it will retain your macros but not the Chroma effects. Feel free to send me a PM should you need additional assistance.
