One Key affects RGB of others?

  1. I am new to the Razer world and in an hour of searching I couldn't find the answer to this question. Worried this will be a feature request and not an issue of me not being able to figure it out.

Basically, I want the caps lock to change the keyboard when depressed. I want the numlock to change the numpad when pressed. I want the shift key to change the keys when held down.

    Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance.

Just did a bit of research and there are ways to do it with custom lighting profiles. You could have a base static colour layer and then add a wave layer on top and change it to all one colour and set it to activate on a keypress and end when the key is pressed again. Not sure if that is what you were asking but I hope it helps nonetheless.

  3. Thanks for the reply!
Can you elaborate or link me what you found?
I'm running the latest synapse and I can make the individual button change, but when i choose playback start:eek:n press - end:eek:n press selecting just caps lock only applies the wave to the caps lock key or if i select all letter keys, they they all activate/deactivate the wave effect. Seems the playback "on press" should have a 2nd dropdown for what key press.

Okay I see what you are on about now. I can't actually find a way to get just caps lock to change the whole keyboard and only stick to the caps lock that changes it. The only way I can think of getting around this is by using potentially setting up it up to change profiles each time it is pressed. I'm not very familiar with Synapse 3. I tend to just use 2 because I find it a lot easier to use personally

Yeah, I definitely second this request. It would be nice to have the option to choose an specific key press.

This was my first thought when i got my blackwidow chroma, i even spent a few hours trying to write a custom app to do it, but i was never able to get it to only toggle the desired keys, if i told it to make capslock red when caps is on, all the other keys turned off (which is annoying i would love to write something to flash keys when some system event occurs).

I would think an easy solution for them would be being able to turn a group on and off (toggling a group would make it easy to customize the layering and toggle multiple effects at once [although im just a novice with Synapse so maybe others have a different opinion] ) based on key state (eg possibly even supporting multiple keys so ctrl and alt are down and/or any/all of caps/scroll/num locked).
