Is there an orbweaver V2 coming or should most of us be prepared to look elsewhere for another gamepad?

I only ask because the Tartarus (Pro) is a major step backwards with the addition of a scroll wheel over a button. When it can't be rebound to be anything other than a scroll wheel. Also having only 4 binds on the thumbstick with them being locked to up, down, left, right is yet another major regression from the Orbweaver. A lot of games won't let you rebind those keys to be abilities or action slot items.

What do you mean by "4 binds on the thumbstick with them being locked to up, down, left, right"? - That you can only have those 4 directional "actions" mapped to them? - That is simply not true, you can map anything to them, which is a critical feature to me.
I don't know what GAMES see those as, but I just map keys and macros to them, which is no problem at all.

I do agree that it's stupid that you can't map anything other than scroll-wheel functionality to the scroll wheel. - Well, it LETS you map other keys to it, but unlike the original Belkin SpeedPads they don't register when used with the Tartarus for some reason. - So the software basically contradicts itself as well.

I don't feel like there's much of a loss with one less key, though, as you could still map a key under the wheel-click. Which isn't ás convenient as a regular key, but it still works if you really need another function there. I already did it that way with the n52.

Speaking of which, that thing has FIVE less keys at the top and I could still live with that, man. And I still don't use them thát much, depending on the game or software of course. - Why not make more use of layering?... I know that's also not flawless in these products but it still works to extend the amount of functions you can program.
I am not sure if there will be another interation into and for the orbweaver and I have heard that the Tartarus Pro is horrendous but I have he Tartarus V2 and it works great and better than the first, try it out?!

Could you expand upon why they say the "Pro" is horrendous?

I've used it throughout this year and that's after coming from the Belkin n52 since 2005 (that got used up), but other than a few annoyances in terms of programming and a weird bug or glitch, there has been nothing that makes it "horrendous".

Yea, I will say that the analog aspect doesn't exactly work in practice, which is a bit of a contradiction to what the "Pro" was marketed with. As well as a disappointment to me personally as it's something I kinda wished the SpeedPad would have in my years using that one.
And the one bug/glitch I referred to could be potentially devastating at times. But let's just say that if you don't play competitively or even professionally, this doesn't exactly break the entire device, although some claim it makes it absolutely useless which is just an exaggeration.
I've also seen someone say that some of the D-pad buttons just stopped working, but while I use it all the time, it still works perfectly fine for me. - I like the feel of the linear/analog switches, I also like the clicky buttons over what was on the old n52. It's pretty much a modern version of it, except it could use a few tweaks and updates to the software and such.

I will say that I got it at a significant discount and that probably makes me more forgiving than critical, although I don't think it's OK how some things aren't quite right about it. - But I'm just happy that these still exist after my n52 wore out.
I'm still waiting for a new version of the Orbweaver to be released, it's honestly the best keyboard I've ever used in my life

I too am hoping for a new Razer Orbweaver to be released.

Hopefully with the purple Opto-Mechanical switches like the Razer Huntsman.

This might be a little late to the game, but I've been able to re-bind the scroll wheel on the tartarus pro to keypresses

Even at non-competitive play, having to fight your gamepad of auto running in one of the cardinal directions is a deal breaker. If you have an Orbweaver that works, just stick with that hopefully for just a little longer until Razer gifts a v2 Orbweaver.
The $130 price tag on the Tartarus Pro is a scam. I've got about a decade or more of experience with Razer peripherals and that's why they got my money for the Tar Pro. I needed an emergency replacement for my Orb and if I would have been more careful and read up on the forums/reviews and saw the overwhelming feedback on the WADS Phantom Input bug, I would have just saved my money. Sadly I'm so accustomed to using a Gamepad for all games that I'm at a undesired crossroad. Users of the Razer Gamepad lineup are in a very tough spot and I feel Razer is just raking in the $$$ from us with a faulty product. The comments on this subject go back to December 2020 and here we are in March 2021.
This unfortunately is the fatal flaw for this product and if they can come up with a remedy, then this product should be back in the good graces of the Gamepad community.
P.S. Razer knows that a mouse has a scroll wheel right? Bring back the "V" (20) key.

I've been using the gamepads since the N52te, and I've got to say that the Orbweaver is by far the best one Razer have ever made, and it hurts a little that;
1) They haven't added any Synapse 3 support. Needing to run both synapses really hurts, plus the lack of inter-device stuff stings.
and 2) That there hasn't at least been any news on an updated Orbweaver V2. It seems like they've abandoned the Orbweaver in favour of the Tartarus, and imo, the Tartarus is just an inferiour product. The lack of adjustment options and the loss of the "V" key makes it not worth it.

Please Razer, Bring back the Orbweaver. Keep the design, it's perfect. Just update it with more features.
