I just want to say thank you to the Razer developers, a lot of the problems I had with the phone got resolved by this update. The phone feels like a new device. Keep up the great work.

So is it the time to pull the trigger? Is there any other things to pay attention...why should I be asap doing this? There's no way back once I get Oreo right, there's no such things like time machine on MacOS or rollback features on Win 10? Hmm very "mobile";)
Hmm, what is it exfat really needed? My SD card is allocated as I want.

it sees it sure. but I stand behind this as would love to see ExFat support. or really any support that allows for Files larger than 4gb to be placed on my SD card. Idk about anyone else. But I like keeping backups of my larger desktop on my phone SD card, encrypted and locked mind you. but I like having them just in case, and if they added this it would be one of the few remaining issues I had with the phone checked off the list. I also use my phone as a giant USB stick basically to transport files between work and home, its rare but occasionally I will get a file larger than 4gb and not having to break it apart would be nice.

I'm new in a phone with SD card, since my other phone has never this features since 2008 (recently there seems dongle for it, but I don't do storage dongle on a phone), i just checked that it allows over 4gb usage (maybe it's my misunderstood about exfat mean) basically it is like Nintendo switch or PS Vita extension storage, I can put big file from phone to sd card, even on Vita they limited to only original card that crazy expensive. For other file I'll try putting Blu-ray movies in to this and card, but it's impossible right since I set it as internal storage? I remember I could do that on my PSP.

When the update mentions about Netflix crash fix is that for the problem where Netflix crashes the whole phone as that has happened a couple of times to me. I just need this update for the Vivid mode as used to love the Super Vivid mode on my old Xperia

I think your asking the differences in setting the sd card as additional storage vs formatting it as standalone?
It might be possible to use the sd card as expanded storage to the razer phone and use it to store larger files. I haven't tried, however AFAIK setting it as extended storage locks the sd card to your phone hardware. so you cannot remove it and read it on another device. now its rare I would need to do this but I don't like the idea of having storage I cannot access should I decide to move my card. even now my Razer phone Is under RMA and it was a simple swap of my SD card to another phone. if I had set it as extended all the information would have been lost.

vs setting it up as a FAT32 storage the information being readable on any device and no locks to hardware.
but being limited to files smaller in size than 4GB

I see, it’s kind of Nintendo switch sd card, I think it couldn’t be also used in other device, idk exactly though never tried it just saw before, maybe now it’s already solved per software idk. I’m too lazy to pull off the the card but you’re right it’s nice if I want to use it on other phone like your condition now. Hope someday they’ll unlock it, now I’m enjoying the free of inserting anything on this phone like my flip phone in 2010 before my no SD card phone. I’ll see what happens if the internal storage is full, I’ve already put maybe a year movies to watch inside this, sadly AVI files can be played only audio no image, I’m too lazy to convert it. But the sound watching my old files MP4 movies is awesome for the file size!
