Overwatch D.Va color code

Hello! I have an issue that's been in the back of my head for many weeks. I am absolutely unable to reproduce the pale pink that my keyboard has when playing with D.Va in Overwatch. I have tried numerous things, including using a color picker on her mech, which is the color basically, but the result my keyboard's lights produce then are completely different than what's on screen. Can someone please give me the exact color code for what's used when playing D.Va?

I have a Blackwidow Chroma X and using Synapse 3

You'll be better off asking Blizzard for that actual color code.

In the meantime, can you post a couple of photos on here? One of the color when you play with D.Va, and one that is the closest you can get to it? I do a lot of work with LED lighting (think stage, bands, events), and could probably get you a little closer if I see the two together.

I tried taking pics a lot of times but the color always ends up being off, pinks show as purples. I have one picture that is very very close to the actual color, so I'll attach that one, but I've had to reduce exposure a lot so it's quite dim.

I have also asked Blizzard a number of times but they aren't very keen on responding to this question.

The color I've gotten the closest is F940FF, seen in the pic with the numpad, but be advised that the colors in the pictures are off, so I suggest going with the codes directly.
The color that on my screen displays exactly how the keyboard looks is FFABE7, but if I put that color into Chroma it's nothing like what it looks like on screen, it's more white than anything. So basically the color to replicate on the keyboard is FFABE7, but I have no experience with this and I just couldn't make it work.

Yeah, without seeing the same keys under the same lighting and camera conditions, it's really hard to tell.

**Don't forget that the other thing that will affect how you see the colors is the color of OTHER keys. In IMG_0159, there are OW keys that are yellow and cyan, as well as the magenta keys. When your eyes see the yellow and cyan alongside the magenta, your brain will interpret the magenta slightly differently than when your eyes see ONLY magenta; just like when your brain hears a word that can have multiple meanings, but understands the meaning by the context (the surrounding words) in which the word is used - all of your senses work the same way. So if you're trying to make all of your keys the exact color your brain sees when you are playing as D.Va, it might not be as simple as using the same color hex code.

Try this link, though. It's a website that just vomits information on color hex codes, and based on the F940FF code you listed (a light magenta), it gives a bunch of other codes in close proximity to that color.

Please let us know if there's a code on that page that is an exact match for you!

Their documentation looks so different ingame. Hahaha. 😳

Yes, that's why when I try the colors, I change the entire keyboard and also was focusing on the right side of the keyboard to exemplify the colors, and also turned off my monitor and made as much darkness in the room as I possibly could to try to extract the exact color, obviously without much success.

I have tried that, it's just that the color my keyboard creates is not the same with what's on screen for the same code so it's really hard for me to pinpoint the color.

The other answers to this question have said the color is what's listed in your picture as Mech, basically that light pink thingy, I just cannot replicate the exact color when it comes to my keyboard.

I think the only people who can truly answer that are Blizzard - not asking the print color of D.Va's gear, but whatever color they use in their implementation of using Razer Chroma in-game. AFAIK, Razer says, "Here's the api for the platform", and then Blizzard writes their code to work with the gear, and not vice-versa.

@8NukeManiac8 , I've put the question out to somebody I know who worked at Blizzard until fairly recently. I'll let you know what I can, when I can.

So the guy I know doesn' work for Blizzard anymore (he now works for Obsidian), and doesn't know anybody on the Overwatch design team, so that was a dead-end.

I'll bust out my BWCS and Overwatch later tonight (AEDT) and see what I can come up with for D.Va colors. Maybe that will help.

@8NukeManiac8 , give this code a shot.

Just now, while everybody else at my home is asleep, I got out my work laptop and my MBP and my BlackWidow Chroma Stealth and my Deus Ex BlackWidow Chroma, and did some playing.

I had to move the slider almost all the way to the left below the color picker to get the non-Overwatch-playing keyboard to match D.Va's color on the Overwatch keyboard. Otherwise it was just too bright.

The matching color I found between the two keyboards was 3B091B. (The link is there just so you can see what that color actually is in the color-code world. It matched, but trying to take a photo of the two keyboards side-by-side was too much of a hassle right now.

Try it, and let us know what you think!
