Photographer Needs Help - 15 Base Model

Hello everyone,

This is the first time I've used a Windows-based machine for my photography. I'm savvy enough to know what I got but I'm running into an annoying issue. I have a Nikon Z6 and when I shoot RAW images even viewing them in windows explorer or the Windows 10 program "photos" it takes a while to load also. Whenever I load other Nikon camera RAW files it loads just fine.

What I've Tried
Nothing in the background is running. (Verified with task manager)
Placed in 'Gaming' mode to help with graphics power.
Downloaded any extra GeForce drivers possible.
Ran all I could in 'Razer Cortex'
Rebooted (duh)

Looked at some forums for Nikon users and Windows 10 but getting some inconsistent understandings. Anyone want to give any ideas to try and help? I'm down for an alternative option versus 'Photos' the app. I use it to go through the 1,000's of photos I took to find the best ones and then after that my process if fine and smooth. Just the viewing/deleting process needs to be way better.

Thank you!

You might want to reset the Photos app’s app data by following the steps below.

- Open the Settings app from your Start menu. Head to System > Apps & Features.
-Locate the app you want to reset in the list of installed apps and click or tap it. Click the “Advanced Options” link under the application’s name.
-Click or tap the “Reset” button to reset an app’s settings.
-You’ll have to click a second “Reset” button to confirm you want to clear the app’s data.

But if the issue persists, PM me the serial number of your laptop and a screenshot of the file's details(e.g., file extension, resolution, file size). I can use those to verify its model and take a closer look at the situation.
