Preserving battery health

There are lots of threads reporting bloated / swollen / bulged batteries. One way might be, to limit the SoC (state of charge) to 80% in normal situations, but Razer does not provide a function like that. Another approach may be to charge more gentle.

When my Blade 15 Advanced (2021) is charging, battery get's pretty hot, indicating that the battery is charged at a high C-rate. Together with heavy load on GPU / CPU, this may be an unhealthy situation boosting battery degradation.

So my current workaround is using an USB-C GaN charger to power the Blade whenever possible. Razer provides one with a total of 130 W (100 W max output on a single port) but you also find smaller and more reasonably priced chargers out there with 100 Watts like the "Baseus QC5.0 USB C 100W GAN II" charger

When using this, the power provided by the power supply is high enough for most tasks, but charging is significantly slower, keeping the battery cooler. I am pretty sure that this will help to give the battery a longer life time.
