Problem with Blade 15 Advanced...

So I just bought a Blade 15 advanced and I’m loving it so far. All of a sudden the screen is doing a “breathing” effect whenever I’m in game. It gets dim for a second and then goes back to normal brightness. It does this about every 5 to 10 seconds. When I close the game and close steam it stops and acts normal. I’m not sure what’s wrong?

I have the laptop plugged in and it’s almost fully charged.

Any and all help would be much appreciated!! Thanks

9750h, rtx 2070, 240hz.

Thanks for posting your concern here. That's quite odd. Is there any hardware or software changes prior to the issue? Are there any games linked games or game profiles that your Razer Synapse is using which can affect the laptop's behavior? Please create a dummy Razer Synapse account and log in and see if the issue is replicated. I'll wait for your advice.

No hardware changes and no software changes to my knowledge. Razer synapses did update once when I got the computer and again a couple days later. The effect on the keyboard doesn’t change the behavior. I tried changing it and it still does it while gaming.
I’m playing gta5 and the dimming starts after about 5 to 10 minutes. And continues till I exit the game and close steam.

It’s almost like the laptop doesn’t have enough power to run everything. Which would be weird because it just started happening. I’ve been playing the game for 3 or 4 sessions now and it never happened before this.

I did hear of an issue with windows auto brightness on razer laptops but my symptoms don’t seem to match.

I will try what you suggested and get back to you once I’m home.

Thanks!
