Hi everyone,

First of all, when I bought my laptop I experienced some heating issue but I thought it's normal because of the thin chase but after an hour of gaming, the CPU was 100Celsius degree and sometimes the laptop randomly turned off while I was gaming. I contacted the support and they were friendly and helpful and they wanted to repair my laptop but I am in Europe some they sent me to the European support. They weren't so helpful they said I need to reset the laptop and download the new software etc. ( I did it all). But I still had the thermal issue and the random turn off-s. But they said it's not a hardware problem so they cant help. I had enough of this useless help so I gave up with the awful support. The warranty expires the laptop was 1year and 2month old when in the monitor I got one pixel to fail. I always use the laptop with an external monitor so I didn't use the laptop monitor but it has happened. I was so upset but I couldn't do anything. Today my battery puffed up and puffed up my laptop. I remove the battery before it blows up. I am super unsatisfied with this laptop and so sad because I have all the razer stuff (mouse, keyboard, mousepad, mug, headphones etc.).
I can't do anything so if anyone can help me solve the heating issue please contact me. I am using a cooling pad also and have 96-100Celsiues while gaming in low settings.

Thanks,
Balazs

Sorry to hear that, battery bloating common reason is heat, yes as you thought it’s thermally throttling, and system sometime protect its self by shutting down it, that’s called overheating.
First you should periodically clean fans areas, Blade 15 intake air that might mix with dust around bottom areas the Fans radiator would be easily dusted and slow down the fans to cool system. Second in like 2 years or maybe less if you see high temperature even you use cooling pad or cleaning fans that might mean that cpu or gpu thermal paste isn’t rightly applied or drying out in this case you should repasting it. 3rd nowaday title stress more cpu than before due more rendering process on some scenes, with cpu boosting on max/high frequency for long time it might spike the temperature near its limit, this’s not only on Blade laptops, other brands especially on this thin light categories suffering similar issue, users limiting max boost clock to lower frequency using 3rd party apps like throttlestop and Undervolting it to low the temperature, some (including me) even disabling the Turbo Boost on some titles to avoid 90degrees temperature, especially when playing long session.
Tldr heat is Laptop big enemy so try to lower it at any cost like a bit lower FPS is important imo, and your 1070maxq even by disabling it still can run anything at 1080p fine (I know since I’ve also same blade model).
Hope that help
Thanks for your help, when the laptop guarantee expired I repasted it with thermal grizzly and cleaned the dust, I am also using throttlestop for undervolting the cpu and turned off the Turbo boost but didn't help. I will give a try for a new paste after this 8 months maybe i should try the liquid metal. I think that's my last chance.

Kryonaut? That one according some users fast dried out again and need repasting again, ic diamond or mx4 maybe worth a try, I use later with minimum improvement ended up by disabling Turbo Boost since it doesn’t take huge impact on my use case, and cool the blade like a lot. No I don’t see good results on LM on Blade 15 vapor chamber, I think it’s because mix cooper nickel, not sure and clean it if something goes wrong might be difficult.
