Really old concept. There was some car that have speakers inside head cushion, without Hypersense ofc 😝

Concepts were better before and the grass was much greener :wink_:

NEAR-FIELD SURROUND SOUND

Powerful Audio Immersion

Unlike traditional speakers, Project Carol is calibrated for near-field surround sound, delivering closer, more direct rear audio that focuses on the listener’s ears for ultimate immersion.

POWERED BY RAZER™️ HYPERSENSE

Realistic, High-fidelity Tactile Feedback

Programmed by leading haptics specialist, Interhaptics, the cushion converts sound signals into lifelike vibrations in real-time, allowing you to physically feel rear surround effects as if you were in the world itself.

SUPPORTS UP TO 7.1 SURROUND SOUND

Compatible With a Wide Range of Media

Project Carol works perfectly with any PC capable of 7.1 surround sound output and supports any media with up to 7.1 encoding. Just load up your favorite entertainment to begin enjoying a fuss-free listening experience.

SEAMLESS 2.4 GHZ WIRELESS DESIGN

Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life

Powered by proprietary wireless technology, plug in the cushion’s dongle to your PC and experience uninterrupted immersion for up to 8 hours, or have it ready for your next session with convenient USB Type C charging.

COMPATIBLE WITH ALL GAMING CHAIRS

Stretchy Adjustable Straps

Designed to fit with all major brands of gaming chairs, Project Carol features a pair of top and bottom straps that can be fully extended (un-stretched) to 350 and 310 mm respectively.
I really hope this makes it out of concept. Take my money!!

That would be a good use,as it's mostly noise and there's no need for high quality audio equipment for such games

Hello friends,

Project Carol is a good idea, I validate, you can start production. ❤️

Ooops, that's right, I'm not Razer CEO. 😛

Is it a global fit?
Userlevel 7
Its a great idea tbh, tho i dont think it will be as good as using actual speakers at least for the surround type.

It seems the Mazda MX-5 has headrest speakers, even the old models (maybe they had to be fitted by the dealer but they're designed for speakers). Also the Nissan Juke has headrest speakers.

I think I've seen it in some older car (Recaro E21) - dunno, some 1990s BMW or Mercedes... maybe it was retrofitted.
But Pontiac Fiero has speakers in headrest (as an option)... in 1984!

Ah, the project level design from Razer are so hot, i so wish they could become something real, but when you come to think of it, its actually really hard to adapt them if not impossible and not worth it.

If I ever go back to speakers, I know what to look for now.
