Hello insiders!

EDIT: This issue has now been resolved! Thank you all for your patience while this issue was fixed.

As some of you may have noticed there seems to be an issue where Google Chrome is locking up your whole phone when watching videos. (This seems isolated to RP2 atm but please let me know if you have a RP1 and are having this problem).

Thanks for reaching out! Curious. I am wondering whether this might be related to the soc/hardware, but then other devices sharing the same soc - like the sony xperia xz3 or google pixel 3 etc. should be affected aswell...

Honestly I'm not sure where the issue is but hopefully Google can find the problem
Good to know. Iv also experienced freezing on my lock screen before. Hoping it not a larger hardware issue
My phone is having the annoying issue of also freezing after the hard reset right as the phone is rebooting back on the main screen when it says "Phone is rebooting". I love my phone but this is annoying. I will download another browser and see if that fixes it.
I was fixing to say I only use Chrome beta and this had been going on for a while now. It's only with video previews with my RP2.
I'm having touchscreen problems is this related

Well if they are happening outside of google chrome, then this is probably unrelated and sounds more like a true support case.

B2t: I am having these feezes in normal chrome on nearly every Website by now. Happens on google site, facebook (in Browser), movie trailer sites, gaming websites, what have you.

I have autoplay for videos disabled in settings. Thus browsing is working fine. But as soon as I accidentally click on any video I have like 2s to kill chrome or else the phone will completely freeze.

So far, as mentioned before, the only "workaround" is to use a different browser.
Ok. Chrome retail/release app just got updated in playstore. Sadly, as it seems, this issue wasnt fixed/adressed so far 😕
So I just installed the latest retail Chrome update from the playstore 76.0.3809.132

...aaaand - so far it seems to do the trick. I hope I am not getting to hyped yet, but I checked several websites that immediately crashed/froze the phone before, when starting to play videos.

So far, everything seems to be fine. No more need for chrome beta/firefox :D

Thanks to everyone that transmitted logs! :)
