How did that go? I'm planning on switching myself, but I'm waiting until Thrusday for Apple to announce the new MBPs and then make a final decision. Plus I've been a Mac user for 8+ years so I don't know how the transition will go. I know my way around Windows but I'm worried that I won't be able to live without Spotlight, Quicklook and the other nifty features that MacOS has up its sleeves. :|
  2. You got the 1060 FHD early? Seems like the only model out there is the QHD+ and nothing official about the FHD.. How's the performance and heat? Anything to watch out for?

There's been a few out there, I ordered in the first batch Sept 2nd. It's been rock solid since it arrived!
  4. I have the same issue, my order history is empty and cannot track my order anymore. Contacted support a couple of days ago and no response yet.

I wish RAZER had a store on the East Coast, The MicroSoft Stores here carry the RAZER blade with the 4th Generation Chips, but in 256 GB Configurations. :slightly_sad:.
RAZER you have a fantastic product, but I wish you sell, something like a RAZER Care to extend the warranty on it. That will go a long way of alleviating the stress of users like me.
By the way did anyone receive a 1 TB FHD Model, of the RB yet?

"We now expect that your order will ship from the 4th November 2016 and you shall receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order ships."

If past history is any indication; I suspect this is one of many delays. Leading me to believe, I will be canceling this order shortly and purchasing another product.

I'll do the same if it becomes available through amazon or MS store.

Yeah, same here except mine says FROM 11th November. FROM the 11th to when? 2017? 2018? I can be patient but only when their are clearly defined deadlines. I ordered mine two weeks ago and was told FROM Oct 25th. Now they push it back another two weeks.

That tells me they have no one on their logistics teams that can forecast supply requirements. "You have X number of orders"/"you make X number of machines per day"="you can meet Z demand".

Then I check their CEO's twitter feed and he's so excited to be on a flight playing Civ for 6 hours uninterrupted! Tweeting every few hours about a new product that probably won't ship on time. Why don't you spend that time going over some supply and demand spreadsheets? Hire some quality built teams in your down time?

I am going to have breakfast and decide whether or not to cancel this order. Has anyone ever bought anything from XoticPC?

Just submitted my cancellation request. I can expect to hear back from them From 1-2 business days (delays expected). I hate that. I was really looking forward to owning this device. I won't sit around and wait for an undetermined shipping date though. MSI GS43VR Phantom Pro-006 anyone?

Well, but what I do not like is that MSIs is that they have HDDs in them. Gone are the days of Portable Machines, having HDDs, You can also look at ASUS ROG GL 502 VS, as it comes with GSYNC, and has a 1070... for $200 more..
I am still waiting on the RAZER Blade :slightly_sad:...

Won't lie, I am considering the same. The GS43VR Phantom is probably the closest comparison to the Blade, and having owned it's predecessor (GS60 Ghost), I absolutely loved the look, keyboard, feel and quality of MSI's laptop, so know I wouldn't be disappointed in that regard. Spec-for-spec, they are basically identical. Although, the MSI does have a built-in Ethernet port, SD card reader, separate headphone/mic jacks and a mini-DP port (all actually important to me). The Blade is slightly thinner and smaller... emphasis on slightly. But when you factor in the Phantom is about $1000 cheaper (I pre-ordered the 1TB FHD Blade), and the fact it is available to pick up today at Microcenter....... actually as I typed that and read it in black and white, it would almost seem foolish to spend an additional $1000 on the blade. Especially considering we generally have no idea when we may receive it. /confused

For what it's worth, the Phantom has an M.2 drive in addition to a 1TB, 7200 RPM HDD.

The 14" MSI I am looking at actually has 128GB M.2 SSD + 1TB HDD standard upgradable to ??? through Xotic PC.

I am still holding out some hope that Razer's response to my cancellation request will be, "Hey we just found 150 Blade FHD's under Bill's desk! Bill's such an a-hole! We can ship it tomorrow if you still want it?" It could happen.

That is correct. Both are upgradeable. As is the RAM in the MSI. You cannot upgrade the RAM in the blade.

Hmm sounds good. How's Customer Service there? I have never purchased their products before.

It went well until my Blade start having issues. I really liked the QHD+ screen but, as many have said before, Windows scaling is not as well done as MacOS but it is tolerable. If your going from a rMBP to a Blade for more than just gaming then the QHD+ is the way to go. If you are getting it primarily for gaming then the FHD would be a better option just for the better performance.

I can't speak on their support as I've never needed to call them. But unless you're buying a Dell, most CS of all manufacturers are going to be less-than-acceptable.
