I agree with ForzBlue. I own multiple products from MSI, from motherboard to graphics cards, their CS team is really bad. They don't read your message, or understand your issue fully before jumping into conclusions. After this year's ordeal with them, I am not going to buy any of their stuff. They have really good products, but CS team can really change your prospects of the company.

You got me interested in MSI :). I was just checking the configs, of MSI GS43VR Phantom Pro-006 and ASUS ROG GL 502VS, I think the only difference between them is ASUS has 1070 and the normal AC Wireless, and MSI has the 1060 and Killer 1535, Both can be upgraded up to 32 GB RAM, and the HDDS can be swapped with SSDs...

What are some of the issues you are facing? Are those pertaining to gaming? Is there a workaround those, or a showstopper for daily productivity tasks?

Over the weekend it began making a strange buzzing sound that would progressively get louder the longer the laptop was powered on. Gaming was fine, you will just be playing most games at 1080p.

Not a good sign, I hope its not the fans. Try to see the difference with Vsync turned on and Off.

Just for those guys on the fence, I was probably the first order for the FHD 256gb back in September and received it last Thursday.

It is worth the wait, IMHO, especially if that wait is 2 weeks or so. It has been rock solid, crushing Witcher 3 at Ultra settings (hairworks off). I am in love...

I'll do a test now - fullscreen youtube video, max brightness on display and keyboard?

Here are some pics of the new FHD Blade, someone wanted shots of the Bezel and screen so I did my best.

I have my Razer Edge Pro next to it, it isn't running Witcher 3 but has a screenshot of the game menu so you can compare them.

    There is a logo - the B L A D E logo underneath the display.

Ok, I had to shut off the video after 110 minutes because I needed to go to bed lol.

Battery was showing 68% left, so if that's accurate the runtime would be about 5:45 or so (5.75 hours).

This was on full brightness, full keyboard lighting, etc.

Hi just out of curiosity, does the new razer blade have integrated graphics as well?
Thanks for the pictures of the awesome set up and Congratulations!

It sure does. The laptop comes with the integrated Intel graphics on the 6700HQ processor, as well as the Nvidia 1060 GPU. It switches between them with Nvidia Optimus.

  17. Check out Aorus X3 that goes live november 1st. I just bought a P35X v6 for the same price as the razer with 4k matte so the best of both worlds and still just .78 thick.

Wow, AorusX3 looks gorgeous. Unfortunately for us, we needed our laptops pretty bad, and had to make a quick choice.
We ordered the New Alienware 15 Matte GSYNC, 1TB PCIE + 1 TB 7200 RPM, with i7 6700, 32 GB RAM 2400, GTX 1070 8 GB GDDR5, for $2150 approx. Since we were a group of about 12 Grad students, Dell gave us a good deal. We got an Alienware Backpack as well as part of the deal. I think we should get about $200 back in Dell Credit and will use that to get the Amplifier later...
Right now I am gonna get some RAZER/Logitech Keyboard.
I shall save some of my TA money, and get a RB Stealth later, for portability.

For those that care, I did proceed to cancel my Blade order and picked up the GS43VR and a 1TB M.2 SSD drive at MicroCenter last night. Swapped out the M.2 drive in under 3 minutes and removed the other 1TB 7200RPM drive completely. A) I didn't need it. B) It is lighter without it. C) No moving parts now. It's been less than one full day with it, but I did play Civ 6 for about 3 hours on it last night, and aside from being blazing fast, the screen is very nice, colorful and bright. I can see me being very happy with this unit.

I too, looked at the new AorusX3 coming out; but quality control issues coupled with the fact it's only available in a 4K version with a 13.9" screen and oh by the way, we really don't know when we may receive them, steered me away.

From a looks perspective, the GS43VR is a pretty sexy unit. Discreet looks and portability were my main goals with a new laptop (which is why the Alienware wasn't an option for me). It has near-identical dimensions of the Blade and is lighter (3.7lbs).

Would I have been happy with the new Blade had I received it? I'm sure of it. But if past history is any indication, the delay in shipment last week was one of many, and I needed something soon. For the foreseeable future, this GS43VR will suit me just fine without feeling like I "settled" on it.

Mind reporting the battery life on it? I'm considering to do the same thing, but I really need to get a minimum of 6 hours of battery life (the Blade seems to be the only option that does this to some extent).
