tl;dr: Close Razer Synapse before using Cinebench, or other types of image rendering software or it will crash your computer.

Cinebench: The problem is similar to having low voltage on your CPU, but you don't get a BSOD.

While benchmarking, the small squares representing your CPU threads will "hang" and stop rendering the image for 2-3secs before resuming the benchmark. This usually ends up in a computer crash and it will automatically reboot.

It's not your custom OC that's doing this, it's Razer's software. I've stressed my I7 6700K (4.7GHZ, 1.41v) on aida64 and prime95 and it's solid. I was starting to worry a lot about this because it's similar to PSU failure/exceeding the PSU power specs, but after a few hours of testing and googling I was confident there was nothing wrong with the PSU.

I'm pretty sure they will solve this and we'll have a hotfix in no time, but in the meanwhile if you're having problems similar to this try closing Synapse before you start changing your BIOS settings or trying to diagnose faulty hardware.

edit: Hardware connected to synapse: naga epic chroma + blackwidow X chroma. PC specs: I7 6700K GTX 1070, 850 EVO SSD, Win10 64bit, 4+4 GB 2.4GHZ.

    Hey ldbaryion,

Sorry to hear that your PC crashes while using Cinebench while you have Synapse opened. Try to reinstall Synapse and see if that fixes the issue.

If issue still persists, contact our software support team by clicking on the gear button on Synapse and hit submit feedback.

Update: Reinstalling didn't work, so I tried formatting my disk. It's working great now, so it could've been just an isolated case of conflict with other software. I'm going to reinstall all of my stuff again and if I find the culprit I'll update this thread again.
