Question about why my macros won’t work...

So whenever I try to record a macro sequence for my mouse (deathadder chroma), I will click the record button, but none of the buttons i press for the macro sequence do not show up in the box where the input sequences are shown. So after I stop recording, the macro doesn’t work, because the input sequence box did not get any of my inputs.

I’m using Synapse 2.0 on MacOS Catalina and attempting to use macros on Deathadder Chroma mouse.
