I have a BlackWidow Chroma keyboard. I love it, but I came from a SteelSeries Apex keyboard, and I loved their dedicated media keys.
Is there any way that I can invert the functions of the F1-F12 keys?
e.g. Pressing the F5 key without holding down the FN key is 'Previous Track', rather than 'F5'; the converse being that if I pressed the F5 key while holding down the FN key, It would act as 'F5' instead of 'Previous Track.'
I haven't found a way to directly do this. I feel like it could be done with some extremely clever macros and some coding; but I'd rather have a cleaner solution.
Anyone figure out how to do this?

you can make it with macro via synapse :D

Would that method still let me use both functions of the F1-F12 keys? I've heard of people saying you can simply assign the media keys to F5, but then I lose the 'F5' functionality.
How would a macro like that even work?

Maybe you could try switching profile each time u want to use F1-F12 keys as media keys and as normal F1-F12 keys ? There's a shortcut to switch profile in synapse.
