  1. The main problem is to have a controller board with a small chip and pcb (obviously cheap too) to handle that resolution with low persistence and relatively fast screen refresh rates (imo it needs lot more than 60Hz mb 120+) to minimize the motion sickness and eye strain. Other than that, it's not worth it to develop software and hardware for each new screen, that's why it takes soooo0000 looooo00000ng to get a VR device

    Does anyone know what is the exact model of the display used in the OSVR? I saw in the source that it's a Sharp but I cannot find any further info.

    I know they're using AMOLED display. If i'm not mistaken, Sharp isn't producing AMOLED displays. I'm guessing Samsung.
