This is a very nice stand! I'd like to add this to the list. I do wish the usb ports were on the side rather than the front or as @Worst_Teammate pointed out, a cable management system, like hangers on the side would have been ideal. Actually surprised that this thread didn't make the featured list on the home page.
That's awesome - guess when this comes out then I'll be handing off my headphone stand to my son and I'll get a new one.
Just received mine, pretty happy with it overall. Great colour transitions - the quality of the lighting is superb. Only downsides are unlike all my other razer gear the USB cable is quite short (USB extension fixed that) and slightly buggy Synapse 3 support (already posted the bug, hopefully it's fixed soon). I felt it was a little overpriced at AUD$109 (same as a kraken chroma headset here heh) but i was getting the firefly with it for free thanks to zSilver so i can't complain too much
Why isn't there a option to attach the mouse cable to it? Would be awesome if i wouldn't need a Mouse Bungee and the base station/headphone stand.
I should have gotten a headphone stand a while ago actually I'm going to say why you should get this one or another stand. I had a Logitech G35 headset and every day I just took it off placed it on my desk didn't think that would do any harm but it did over time about 2 years I had that headset and the earpiece broke off!! Every time I picked it up the earpieces swiveled to give a more natural fit on your head but that came as a downside when they swiveled each time that was weakening the plastic and that's why it broke off. So I recommend getting a headphone stand to preserve your headphones longer and I would probably be able to keep them for YEARS longer if it wasn't for that big flaw.
how u do dis?? totally agree as well. I'm surprised razer designed a headphone stand with usb cables but didn't think to include an aux port or cable management, I think they could have included a mouse bungee too seen as they don't make those anymore and the purpose of the base station should be cable managment more than lights. You can put your headset anywhere, I'm reluctant to spend €74.99 on a plastic hanger with lights on it no matter how much I want to RGB all the things
Greetings! Can somebody who owns the Chrome Headphone Stand please tell me wether this works with current usb disk drives and wether you experience transfer speed slowdowns? I use a robotics usb 3.0 hub and when i use my seagate portable drive with the hub i have like 40-60 mb/sec transfer speed whereas when i connecit it directly to my Notebook i have like 280 mb/sec transfer speed -- i would like to know how the usb hub in this headphone stand "behaves". Thank you very much!
I have been wanting a headset holder for the longest time and picking this up with zSilver was just perfect.
I am actually at a point where, I own too many chroma products and running out of usb ports to plug into. I think this head set stand is the only razer product to expand on usb ports. (not counting the single usb pass thru on razer keyboard)
Sorry for delayed response, but I have a chroma base station and I haven't noticed a slower connection by using it. The base station is plugged into a 3.0 USB. I don't have the exact numbers, but when I plug things in to charge etc, they take the same amount of time as if they were plugged into a wall socket, so I assume that means it is a decent speed.
