Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed not connecting

Hi!

I've not used my PC for about 5 months and when I booted it up, my Basilisk X Hyperspeed no longer works.

The mouse and dongle both work as I have used the mouse with my Laptop to doublecheck whether it is a hardware issue. Seemingly it is software related but I am not completely sure.

I have done the following:

1. Regular reinstall of Razer Synapse.

2. Hard reinstall of Razer Synapse

3. Both regular and hard reinstall of Razer Synapse whilst also reinstalling the drivers.

When I connect the dongle to the PC, the computer does recognise it and either install the software or in the instances where the software has remained it simply says configurating Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed (This happens when I connect to a previously unused USB port).

I tried updating the firmware but I get an error stating that I need Bluetooth 4.0 on the PC for the installation to go ahead. Is this an indication of a dongle issue?

How do I fix this?

Final note: I bought the mouse in November 2020 if that matters.

What other workarounds have you done so far in an attempt to fix the issue? It seems like the challenges only happen when using the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed on your desktop PC. Do you have a VPN or security settings that might interfere with your USB connectivity? You can isolate this by logging into a different local Windows user account or accessing the Windows safe mode with networking. Let me know if it helps. Otherwise, send me a PM including your device's serial number.
