Razer Blackshark v2 - Cleaning Ear Pads

Hi guys,

I'm having a dilemma over my Razer Blackshark v2 in terms of hygiene. I live in a humid environment and I do my work and gaming usually outside my house on the driveway. I've had the headphones for three weeks now and the earpads have been accumulating sweat so there's already a bit of a foul smell. I've been looking for ways to clean the earpads and I found this thread on another website suggesting to put some hydrogen peroxide. I did that but the smell is still there. Unlike other headsets- this blackshark v2 doesn't give you a very easy way to hand wash the earpads because it's being held by the adhesive on the headphones itself. Removing the earpads might make the adhesive lose its integrity.

Any suggestions on the best way to clean and deodorize it?

Thanks.

Wow! Thanks! I did not find that link through all my searches. I only found a different manual. This is a big help!

Was able to detach the ear cups and clean them! Thanks again!
How did you clean your earpads? Did you soak them in a diluted detergent solution? I'd like to hear how you did it. Thanks 🙂

@1TRCKPNY I hand washed it with laundry powder. When rinsing- don't be too rough on the squeeze. After rinsing- just submerge the earpads for about 30mins-1hour. Squeeze out the remaining water then do open-air dry. Much better if you have an electric fan or dry it with sunlight.
