Razer Blackshark V2X mic problem

Hi, I just bought the Razer Blackshark V2X today and when I tried to use the included splitter with my Vention usb sound card, I can hear perfectly fine but the mic won't work. It works with the 3.5mm jack though, so could it be that the splitter is defective?

In my case my laptop only has 1 3.5mm input, the mic doesn't work on mine. And somehow the built-in Camera always turns on. I haven't had this issue before.

Edit: Got it to work by changing Connector Retasking at Realtek Audio Console, from Headphone to Headset :big_grin_:
i just brought a blackshark v2 headset and the mic is very bad
i have to SHOUT very loud for someone to even hear me slightly
pls help fix the problem
I will assume that my splitter is defective, because I have no way to test it other than my usb soundcard, which works because I've used it with a lapel microphone before. Other than that, headset works just fine as is.

Are you using the included USB soundcard? I've heard that it makes the mic quality worse than when you don't use it, you need to tweak some settings in the software. Also, if you remove the pop filter of the mic, there should be a mic logo on one side, you should point that in front of your mouth. You could also check if your mic volume is low, just in case.
I just got a Blackshark V2 X and the audio is great but the mic is absolutely working incorrectly on my PC.
I plugged it into my phone and it works perfectly, though I have eliminated the splitter as the issue becuase I tried with a different one and it still didn't work.
The mic picks up more of my own headset sounds than my own voice when plugged into the PC.
I have the exact same problem. The Razer Blackshark V2 X isn't working with my Aorus B450 Elite. I tried the newest Realtek drivers 0008-64bit_Win7_Win8_Win81_Win10_R281 & 0008-64bit_Win7_Win8_Win81_Win10_R282.
But I have also to yell that I can record/hear anything with the MS recorder. But the mic is working on my iPhone 6s and also on my son's pc just nice. I tried also the splitter with a different mic (my son's) and this mic is just working fine on my pc.
So I will send it back. Took me 4 hours of my life and also the Razer service which I contacted was totally useless.
Worked for me:

1. OPEN DEVICE MANAGER,
2. PICK YOUR REALTEK DEVICE DRIVER,
3. CLICK UPDATE DRIVERS,
4. LET ME PICK DRIVERS FROM MY PC,
5. INSTEAD OF INSTALLING REALTEK DRIVERS PICK DRIVERS COMPATYBILE WITH HI DEFINITION AUDIO,
6. INSTALL DRIVERS AND RESET COMPUTER,
7. IT WILL WORK.

Dude we have the same MB and headset. Tried to boost the mic but the static/buzzing noise is too loud. Tried to reinstall the driver too but nothing much changed. Tried to use different splitter still the same problem. Used front jack instead of rear, still same. But when I plugged it in into my phone's 3.5mm jack, the mic works wonder. So, I don't think the headset is faulty. Could be MB problem? Driver? Idk honestly. Let me know if something work for you

The splitter is not the culprit as I tested it with another splitter. So you actually fixed it by using USB sound card? if so, what brand and does it affect mic recording quality?
I got it to work just now i uninstalled everything related to Realtek from software to drivers and now everything works fine people can hear me clearly.

same issue 😞
I am also experiencing the same problem with the vention usb soundcard. I think it's because the microphone signal is balanced and the amplifier in the usb soundcard doesnt receive balanced signals.
Same here. I bought my blackshark v2 x yesterday and the mic isnt working correctly. Its like a robot voice. When i plug it in my phone it works perfectly fine. Any solution?
