Which result in what kind of improvement?

~91C CPU temps under load in a single bout of firestrike, using a CPU that is cooler (but also less powerful) than the 4720HQ. Yes it runs slightly cooler, by around 5C. Is that the overhaul you expected?

It is an improved cooling system, not an overhauled cooling system. The fans, heatsink, and heatpipes are slightly improved, you can't make it any better than this without sacrificing some thickness and weight. And where are you getting that 91C CPU temp from? Source? In DAVE2D's review the temps weren't nearly that high.

please go to the YouTube Dave Lee, some questions you have he answered in the video and he tested by himself.

If you bothered reading my comments (even my previous one) you would know I've already watched it, and I've also already pre-ordered it.

No need to be condescending, was probably just in direct response to your first message :)

  6. Not much of an improvement which is sort of a shame since I feel not a ton changed about the laptop and they could have devoted more time into thermal and fans.

They did. The fans have been re-designed (for more airflow and quieter operation), the heatpipes have been re-designed (I'm not sure what changed other than the shape), the heatsinks have been re-designed (larger surface area), the fan cooling profiles (curves) have been improved (and now allow for manual control).
The previous guy mentioned something about the CPU getting to 91C, but I can't find his claim anywhere and when I asked him about it he never responded.
I've already ordered mine, and it should get here THIS MONDAY. Yup, for some reason my order has been pushed forward 18 days, so I will comment on the cooling once I get it.

Well I don't take kindly to ignorance, literally 1 comment above the one he wrote negates the purpose for his.
I said the following in the comment above his:
"In DAVE2D's review the temps weren't nearly that high."
    Then he replied with:
"please go to the YouTube Dave Lee, some questions you have he answered in the video and he tested by himself."

Dave Lee's temperature sensor was bugged on the CPU. There's no way he's getting 54C on the benchmarks. He only showed that it was throttling.

The guy on reddit who first got the blade showed his getting 91C during 1 run of firestrike.

Maybe he got a bad unit? I guess I'll find out Monday when I get it whether or not it has any heat issues.

I got a question when i get my blade brand new do i new to charge it before i turn it on for the first time or is it already charged?
Also i never owned a laptop so how often do charge it and can i charge it while using it?
Please explain everything you can about the razer blades battery

  12. Like I played League of Legends for 5 hours in a row, while granted it was a warmer day, the laptop got really hot. Although I didn't take temps, it made my left hand a little uncomfortable and I sorta stopped since the fans were so loud I thought the laptop was gonna have problems. And this is running on cool mode on synapse by the way.

Could you measure the temps next time?

Mine does get hot but I haven't reached 91C. The ambient temperature is also a factor.

Mine has maxxed out around 85-87 degrees celcius after gaming on overwatch for several hours.

How about speaker sound test using a frequency test? Any distortions? I'm going to test my unit when I get it on monday.

do you have a fan cooler? same here for me but my max so far is 81. i have the thermatake fan. i would rotate the fan speed when I game and it makes a differene.

I believe because of the heat sink setup using the core should make the cpu temps alot lower. Since alot of the heat from the cpu comes from the gpu. Again not a solution but nice to know! I'll be pulling the trigger on the pro refresh or if they don't announce one.. The 14.
