The laptop has been working great. This morning I used the laptop to watch some youtube videos and then went to work. Came back from work and now the Audio is not working at all. There is a red cross across the speaker and when I click it, it just tries to troubleshoot. First I thought maybe its just windows. I have a spare SSD that I occasionally use with the laptop. I swapped the SSDs. Same issue. I googled and found some threads, most are saying to reinstall the drivers. But I do not see any Realtek driver. I even installed one and nothing.
Under device manager > Sound, video and game controllers > There are 3 options
- Intel(R) Display Audio
- Nvdia High Definition Audio
- Nvdia Virtual Audio Device
If I plug in through the 3.5mm port, nothing is detected. I plugged in a PS5 controller, the laptop detects it and I can get audio output through the controller. But there is no sound through the laptop speakers or the 3.5mm port.
I don't know what to do next. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Go back to the device manager, expand the other devices list and update the drivers you see. Check in the audio inputs and outputs list if you see a new driver for the audio. If that didn't help, consider doing a system recovery or factory reset. If you're still experiencing the same issue, PM me the serial number so I can check for other workarounds or forward your case to our RMA Team for a repair request.
