So I was wondering if it was normal for there to be a high pitched noise from the fan when it is at low speeds. This is when I am doing casual stuff such as creating the post, watching videos, etc.

Hey there! Is it possible if you can share a video here of the issue so we can try to check on that?

Here is the video. I am taking it from an iPhone so there is a lot of white noise but you should be able to make out the high pitched noise. Hope you can help :) thanks in advance.

Hi, were you able to make any progress on figuring out your noise issues? I just got my Razer Blade 15 (2018) yesterday and mine is incredibly loud too when I'm just surfing the web or even working on Word documents. I touched base with Razer support and they had me update the BIOS and drivers and the sound from the fans was still there.

The only way I've been able to get it under control and quiet it down is by disabling the turbo mode for the CPUs in the BIOS but that will definitely eat into gaming performance. I'm going to ping support again and see if maybe there is a defect of some sort on my unit.

Hey guys, I am wondering the same. If I just have chrome open not even watching videos the fans will kick in every 30 seconds for about five seconds then go off. Also, when I am typing i keep accidentally hitting the trackpad which causes me to click something. Very annoying! wish I could turn that off. Other than that I love this laptop!

*edit* i found a fix! if you go into you windows touchpad percision settings at set the touchpad sensitivity to low it seems to fix it
