    Hi All,
just got this last saturday (14.7.2018) and set it up.
I installed a CPU GPU Temperature visualization software (CAM) and tested the temperature for playing Heroes of the Storm with all settings maxed @ 1080p resolution. I average around 120fps with the min around 100 and the max around 140.
Even though the load stays around 20-30% The core Temperature averages around 83°C and spikes to 92°C.
I constantly kept getting CPU temperature warnings from CAM.
Should I use an overclocking software to reduce the voltage? I dont need 140fps, 60-80 will suffice, as long as it means i get a few more years out of the laptop.

Side info, I am using a Laptop cooling stand with 4 large fans that the Blade sits atop.

    What gives?

Seems normal to me, all Intel CPUs since Skylake run very hot. Temps are even better than on most gaming machines, where the CPU scratches on the 100 °C mark.

You could use a frame limiter to set a fixed max. fps to reduce temps.
