Razer Blade 15 4K streaming?

Hello,

So I just bought a Blade 15 base model with a 4K OLED screen and 2070 GPU. I have been enjoying it thus far, but I did notice that some streaming elements like Netflix aren’t actually streaming in 4K. The screen size notwithstanding, it is more of a curiosity to figure out than anything else.

I’ve looked through some of the other guides or threads where people have found solutions in installing the HEVC extensions but I have not had such luck.

As far as I can tell my bandwidth should be up to snuff, and the GPU and CPU should be more than capable with the extensions installed.

My thoughts are that maybe it is an HDCP issue. I don’t know how to check it’s compliance or not since the display is connected to an intel display driver aside from the nvidia GPU and it doesn’t show in the nvidia control panel.

I’ve reinstalled the display driver, Netflix windows app, and the HEVC extension.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

Update:

I established that the display and adapter are HDCP compliant so that wasn't the issue.
My guess was that some interaction between the software and the adapters is causing the software to read the display as a 1080p. Even Youtube was only allowing to view 1080p content.
It turns out even as new as this laptop is, the OEM drivers for the Intel Graphics Chipset are a little behind. I updated them from Intel and rebooted...voila, Netfix is displaying in 4k. Calling this resolved. Maybe it will help anyone else curious about it.
