I just recently bought the Razer Blade 15 Adv 2019 model and my touchpad is really annoying me.
It randomly keeps registering 3 finger gestures when I scroll with 2 fingers.
for example if i scroll up or down with 2 fingers it switch to task view or desktop which is what my 3 finger for up and down are set at.
or it'll pinch and zoom when i im scrolling up and down with 2 fingers that i had to turn pinch to zoom off
Its really getting to me. Is this a hardware or software problem?
Touchpad is set to lowest sensitivity and has the latest windows precision driver.
Cause if its hardware then i should return.

If you don’t mind try resetting it on factory form, yes i know it’s hassle but i saw other laptops users with precision driver issue trying to fix such issues by reinstalling windows. This is last step imo if you didn’t find any solution like getting driver from other brand like I think hp, even dell doesn’t have their own driver, it comes apparently with windows.
So u reckon it's a software issue as opposed to hardware?

Hopefully, try that before you send it back, it’s not an hour process i believe despite updating windows. It’ll be suck if it’s software issue and your replacement unit comes with some other issue.

I'm in a similar situation... a recently purchased 2019 Razer Blade 15" Adv is displaying veeeery weird trackpad behaviour straight out of the box. I've been in touch with Razer support and they suggested I try running Windows update to see if it fixes the issue.
Would love to hear how your experience turned out, to see whether I should prepare myself for the possibility of a return to the store where I bought it, or whether it was indeed software related.

Just a quick update... I've found some other posts on the forum that appear to be the exact problem we're experiencing. Posts linked below.
The good news is that it doesn't appear to be a hardware issue. The bad news is that it seems to be an inherent bug within Microsoft's precision driver that wigs out when multiple fingers are used on the trackpad. The same issue has apparently been replicated on non-Blade devices that run the same driver.
Ugh, Microsoft!

Hello! I was wondering if you managed to solve your problem with software/driver updates, or if it ended up being a hardware fault?
I tried everything, factory reset, driver alternatives, etc, to no avail so I returned it. That was the 144hz model 8th Gen model.
I then bought the 9th Gen 240hz model when it came out and had the same problem but this time it was a bit bettter in that if my palm was hovering over touchpad it would register it as a third or fourth finger, so I had to angle my palm to the left of the touch pad (left handed) as opposed to the bottom while using the touchpad, and yes the sensitivity was on low.
I could deal with that as the older model just wigged out no matter what I tried, but in the end I returned that one also as I ran into another issue where the battery would drain when off (shutdown, not hibernate or sleep). In one day it would drain 25% - 50% so by the second day the batttery was fully drained if it wasn’t connected to power. For a portable laptop that I need on the go that grinded my gears.
Now I’m laptopless and indecisive if I tried a third time with RAZER or move along.

I went through so much research and umming and ahhing before finally choosing that laptop, that I've decided to just put up with the weird trackpad and hope I get used to it enough over time, just to not have to start another search for a laptop. Ugh. It's such a shame, because otherwise they seem like good machines!

I often get the two finger being mistaken for three finger, but I also had this problem on my last laptop which was a MacBook Pro
