RAZER BLADE 15 ADVANCE ISSUES

So I've been doing benchmarks on a few games now and recently when I downloaded COD Warzone I have been experiencing low FPS, stutters and delay in-game even in low settings.

I used MSI afterburner and noticed I have low MHz on my GPU even at a 90%+ usage as well as memory usage is only using up to 1kmb and IDK if the ram usage is ok as well as it is stuck at 7kmb

I watched overclocking videos for GPUs but its not advisable to do it on laptops.. I also get stutters in other games sometimes like Dota 2, Apex and etc.

It’s maybe the base clock, which performance mode is it? Try costumize it to gaming or high performance, maybe on cpu demanding titles it needs better or more stable cpu/gpu performance on gaming/costumize mode. Blade 15 2018 gaming mode OC core and memory automatically so I rarely use that especially on long session, but on 2019 model it isn’t, it increase cpu and gpu tdp only from what i saw.

I tried creating a customized power plan (high performance) but I'm still getting a static of 900+MHz on my GPU clock. I also noticed that when my GPU clock is stuck at 900Mhz my fps goes really low and even hits 600Mhz sometimes even at 98% usage. I checked the base clock for RTX 2060 and it's 1.3kMhz so I'm sure something's not right with my hardware 😞

Hi, here's an updated result, its in high performance mode on power plan + gaming mode on synapse + high performance in nvidia 3D settings as well.. as you can see the GPU is at 98% usage but is only at 570Mhz

2060 mobile base clock is 960mhz. Depends on temperature and synapse profile it might boost to 1.2Mhz, maybe you looked at desktop version, it’s higher due higher power consumption.

CPU Temperatur might spike to 90ish areas on Witcher long session but gpu I think it should stay max 80ish, maybe that’s why you’re facing lower gpu clock, the system try to avoid overheating and slow the performance down on 2018 advanced 1070maxq I never see gpu went to 90 mostly between high 70 and low 80. Try running simple gpu stress test like 3Dmark or unigine heaven if the gpu still runs 90ish and core clock not even reach 960mhz base it might be thermal throttle, maybe from bad factory thermal job.

I see, maybe it's just some bad thermal application. I watched a review on the same laptop that I have and I was wondering why he's getting a stable of 1.4-1.5k Mhz on the GPU? It's not even trickling down to 1k or 900mhz

It’s advanced 8750H, early 2019 model right, I remember it was sitting on top 3dmark benchmark rangking above all the 2060 laptops, and the gpu bios was wanted from other brands due using higher 90 watt one, was also a bit curious that you get lower clock, it sounds to me 80 watt tdp version like on other brands, but maybe it’s due thermal throttle. How long do you have it? Maybe it’s time to cleaning the fans, dusty fans might also the culprit from thermal throttle, I did annually usually but last time not a year it was already dusted, compared to 14 15 was quite fast dusted.

The gpu temperature pretty lower compared to yours, probably because of that he can boost a lot better, I don’t see he reached 80ish. Yes 6200 timespy is expected on that machine, it’s around 10% better than 1070maxq.
