Razer Blade 15 Advanced (2018) Webcam Camera error 0xA00F4244

Not sure if it should be posted here. but i tried finding drivers for the Razer Blade 15
I followed some threads online to uninstall the camera drivers, reset camera, turned on camera, check device manager.

I turned on the Camera App
I reset the Camera App
In Device manager, there are No Imaging Devices or any indication of a Camera or Webcam (see attached images)
scanning for hardware changes reveals nothing too.
Please advice

I'm having the exact same problem. I am fairly sure the webcam has worked in the past but now its nowhere to be seen. I've updated my computer, installed the latest drivers for what I can, but still no webcam anywhere (and no drivers available for it because it isn't there). Hopefully someone picks this thread up.
Same problem.. please help to resolve this.

Hey everyone! Thanks for posting your concern here. I understand how inconvenient to have a laptop with a camera and a microphone that is not working. I am asking for everyone's patience regarding this concern. I've cascaded the Razer Blade 15's concern to the team and waiting for an update. Please help me gather details from your laptop so I can send a report and help the investigation. Send me the following:

a. Video/screenshot of Device Manager showing the missing camera driver. Please check the webcam driver under Imaging devices or Sound, video and game controllers too.

b. Video/screenshot of Device manager for microphone under "Sound, video and game controllers" and Sound properties in the system tray.

c. Photo of BIOS main tab

d. Screenshot of System Information (Press Windows Key+R on your keyboard. Inside the Run dialog box, type “msinfo32.exe”)

e. Screenshot of your Windows Update history

f. Razer Synapse version:

g. Have you performed Windows System Restore or Razer Blade's factory reset? (Yes or No):

Note:

Please save the files in your Google Drive or another online drive account then send the link via PM. I'll pick it up from there.
Have you found a solution for this?? I've been experiencing the same issue for a couple of months now. Adding one more problem, my backlit logo doesnt work.

Hello guys,

I also have a similar issue, my webcam and microphone do not function and I am unable to find them in the device manager (Aside from the Realtek microphone control)

I am using a 2018 Blade Advance, Purchased June 2019. I have had no use for the microphone or webcam until now, so I can't verify if they ever worked.

Shall I also PM images, or are there resolves found already?

Thanks a lot for your time, Scott
There hasn't been a solution, not that I know of. I have the same issue. Someone on the treaty asked for some information regarding our computers, that might be helpful.

Hello there! Please save the images via Google Drive or to another online drive then paste the link together with your PM. I'll pick it up from there.
I'm having a similar issue since the last Windows Update. The camera on my Blade 14 2017 entirely disappeared. Any progress on this?
I have the exact same issue, after the bios update to 1.08 from 1.02 my mic and webcam stopped working. i dont really believe that update corrupted everything and these components don't work completely now.
i've tried to contact razer support and of course, nothing helped. i tried to set the bios to default and tried to reset my pc completely, nothing helped. it's definitely a software issue, but support wants me to pay money for the repair of the completely mint pc that was mildly used for 2-3 months overall. and of course my warranty is expired, but i still need to pay for the fault of the manufacturer? this is just embarrassing. why should we pay for software-induced issue that was made by the manufacturer? these type of situations must be covered without any warranty because they're not the fault of the user at all, they're 100% fault of the manufacturer, they might even do this on purpose.

I'm a razer blade 15 late 2018 version user, and i love this notebook. but these kind of problems are just bumming me out. and this is absolutely absurd that i need to pay for that type of failure

Hi there! Your sentiments are duly noted. However, Razer has nothing to do with the mic or camera failure. That's the reason why our Support Team requires sending the unit in for repair so it can be investigated and provide a fix accordingly. Please send me PM together with your case number or email address so I check its history and notify the team. I'll wait for your follow-up.
@Razer.SpeedCr0ss I'm trying to contact you via PM, but I get an error everytime.

Can you please start a PM to see if it works? Thank you

Hi Razer Support, I have exactly the same problem. All the above answers are just "PM" message but I couldn't see any answers on how to resolve the Camera and mic problem for my Razer Blade 15 Advanced 2018 edition (1070 Max Q model).
Could any Razer support please help? Thanks.

Hey there! Your point is well taken. However, the team can't just keep posting troubleshooting steps on threads as other customers may use it for a different model which is risky and can brick their device. Also, it is part of our investigation to ask details from your laptop such as serial number, BIOS version, etc., which is against our house rules if posted publicly. Thanks for understanding.

Hi everyone! Please submit a case to our Support Team or send me a PM. I'll wait for your follow-up.
