New to the forum and just purchased the 2019 Razer Blade 15 Advanced! I was wondering if anyone was experiencing fan issues / power management issues in Ubuntu 18.04. In windows, with the right tweaks, I seem to be able to get 8-10 hours of battery life with light browsing.

However, in Ubuntu, I'm getting maybe 3 hours just idling. I'm running:
    • The display on Intel integrated graphics
    • TLP with CPU_MAX_PERF_ON_BAT = 30
    • Lowest panel brightness and no keyboard lighting
I've reinstalled Ubuntu as well. Appreciate any input or help with this one.
  2. Hi,

I have same issues with my Blade Stealth 2019 on 18.10
On Win10 I have something like 7-8 hours and on Ubuntu max 3h :slightly_sad:

I'm suspecting it's a broader issue as I had mine RMA'd for that reason, got a replacement, and still the same. I'm hoping 19.XX will alleviate the issue. For now, I'm virtualboxing in Windows, which works fine right now for non-cuda work.

Have you tried this solution? https://brezular.com/2019/02/05/ubuntu-18-04-overheating/

I haven't tried it yet as I would need to reformat Windows just to make partition space for Ubuntu.
