Razer Blade 15 base with horizontal flashes on screen

Hello

A few days ago I bought the Razer Blade 15 base model with the GTX 1060 max-q. As soon as I put my hand on it I updated every driver possible to avoid any issue with old drivers. Windows is now on it last version, same with graphic card driver and so on.

Unfortunately, I`m getting this annoying issue with the screen. Randomly horizontal thick and bright lines appear across the entire width of the screen and last no more than 100 ms or so. It occurs randomly but constantly every few minutes in any brightness level and regardless of computer being on battery or plugged into power.

It occurs also every time I plug anything on any USB port and when I activate of inactivate the bluetooth toggle.

Is it a defective mother board? This is a very expensive laptop to keep with an annoying screen issue like that.

I uploaded a short video on youtube showing how the screen blinks this horizontal lines when bluetooth is toggled on and off, but it occurs exactly like the same way with usb being plugged and randomly with nothing running on the computer.

Hello there! When did you start to notice this issue? Was it right out of the box or was it after the driver updates? Let me know.
Right out of the box, that's why I updated all the possible drivers through Windows Update to erase a possibility of an issue with old drivers, but no luck there.

I restarted the notebook in Safe Mode and I didn't see any flashing on the screen when plugin memory sticks into USB ports, so I thought it could be still an issue with a driver that was being loaded during normal windows boot.

So I uninstalled Razer Synapse, restarted the notebook and the flashes were still happening.

Then I uninstalled the Intel Video Driver and the flashes didn't happen anymore. So it would be probably a conflict with this driver and something else.

After that I reinstalled this Intel Video Driver through the software Intel Driver and Support Assistant that also updated my Wireless driver and Bluetooth driver. The flashes in the screen when using USB ports or turning on and off bluetooth were gone.

It is worth mentioning that these other updates were not being available in Windows Update but there was updates available through this Intel tool.

So after reinstalling Razer Synapse the notebook was fine and I didn't see flashes on screen anymore. So I think the problem was solved by reinstalling the Intel Video Driver.

Thanks

Thanks for the update. It's good to hear that the reinstall of the Intel Graphics Driver fixed the issue. Please let me know if you need more help.
