Hi,

does anyone know if the 1.05 bios update is already installed on the razer blade 15 base model? The razer updater gives an error that the device is not compatible..

The version number in the bios says 1.01

did you have any luck upgrading the BIOS for your device, I am having same issue!

Is there any issues on original bios? Bios or EC update is usually to address issues and optimization, since it’s released after Bios update I think all previous issues are already addressed on that version. I remember it was to address not charging while on sleeping mode on advanced mode, other I forgot but I think it was about addressing trackpad issue on Linux.

Yes, I am struggling with the Touchpad issue on Linux, I have Gentoo up and running, everything is working except the touchpad, it is functional but really annoying to work with. Also, I want to understand why the base model doesn't have same docs and EC updater as the advanced model?.

I see, last time I checked it was even still no drivers there, I would recommend contact support, they may be able to provide the updater for your issue. Bios update is very sensitive on Blade, maybe they’re still testing it. I remember my advanced model drivers was also later officially uploaded, maybe after seeing some issues in some forums they addressed the issues one by one.

Has anyone had any updates regarding the BIOS update for the Razer Blade 15 Base model. My BIOS is stuck on the 01.01 version and an error appears when I go to update the BIOS...

me too, I 've already contacted the support, they replied that no available bios/ec update for base model yet. I

Yes, the touchpad issue is annoying and still has no solution. I hope razer is working on this, as there is an update for advanced model already

A BIOS update would be nice. I'd like the keyboard back light breathing effect NOT to be default on startup (not have to wait for synapse to boot), fix the "usb power share" battery drain issue, excessive use of fans to cool the laptop when only browsing internet and using word. There are plenty of issues to fix. Razer just needs to listen to its customers.
