Razer Blade 15 having terrible battery life, 1.5 hours max on full charge... dGPU not shutting off

2020 Razer Blade 15, 2070 max q
I assume the biggest issue here is that the dGPU (2070 max q) wont turn off even on battery charge, and I have no idea why. On the graphics card activity panel it has razer synapse and a few windows processes which I don't know why it would, and it appears Optimus is not turning off that graphics card at all. I don't know why, it makes no sense. I have had this laptop for a week.
Any idea of what to do?

No change on/off charger in activity.

What I have done/tried: GPU drivers on Geforce Experience, bios update, intel update, uninstalled MSI Afterburner (after finding out some people had the same issue with the dgpu not disabling because of it).

Do you have an external monitor connected at all times, and do you have any of these apps installed and running in the background constantly?

  • ASUS GPU Tweak II
  • CPUID HWMonitor
  • MSI Afterburner
  • NVIDIA GeForce Experience
  • NVIDIA Inspector
  • NZXT CAM
  • Open Hardware Monitor
  • TechPowerUp GPU-Z
  • XMG Control Center

For now, try to reinstall the GPU drivers. But this time, select Custom Installation and make sure everything is ticked, including clean installation. PM me if the problem persists.
